Lawn Care Express began in Duluth, MN in 2010. Originally founded to service rental properties, we quickly evolved into a full-service lawn care provider for residential and commercial customers as well. Until 2015, Jason had been working for Fortune 500 companies, while continuing the family snow removal business on the side. At that time, his family had been plowing alleys in St. Paul for over 60 years! He'd grown tired of the corporate culture and looked for an avenue of change. When Lawn Care Express, Inc. became available to purchase, Jason saw a company with a strong foundation and purchased it.

Our program is a multiple application process. These are custom-blended formulations specifically tailored for our unique Minnesota climate. We time our applications each year to ensure the more effective weed control results. Applications include: a crab-grass pre-emergent, broad-leaf post-emergent and fertilizer blends throughout the season with a slow release winterizing treatment in late fall. Add a special spot treatment for mid-season crab grass emergence. Fertilizer and weed control services are offered as a prepaid complete package.

Regular lawn mowing is critical to a healthy lawn. We follow recommendations for cutting deck height, and make adjustments throughout the year. We sharpen blades regularly and maintain our equipment to provide a quality cut each and every time. By choosing our service, you can basically set it and forget it, knowing that we will be there every week to maintain your lawn. Every service includes trimming around hardscape and blowing clippings from walkways and hard surfaces. Although it is not recommended for most lawns, we understand that some customers would like service only every other week.

Done in the fall, aeration creates a path for water and nutrients to your lawn's root system. Aeration loosens compacted soil and will promote thicker grass while deterring weeds. Aeration is one of the best "natural" ways to promote a healthy lawn and is highly recommended for every lawn. Sprinkler heads must be marked, and the lawn made free of obstruction.
