To Whom It May Concern: I would like to take this opportunity to highly recommend the services of Axel Landscape. Being a recipient of their landscape and design work, I am without a doubt, 100% satisfied in their timeliness, professionalism, attention to detail, and overall follow-through from start to finish. With over 16 years of experience in commercial real estate and residential lawn care myself, I found this organization to be top notch and one of the best. I welcome you to call me with questions or come see for yourself what I have the pleasure of enjoying everyday.

They also increase your property's value. A patio is the biggest home-improvement bang for your buck you can get. It's a good investment for you to use and enjoy, and it pays off later when you go to sell your house. Buyers get excited thinking about sitting on that patio all summer after they move in! We work with concrete pavers, clay pavers, and natural flagstone. By the way, "paver" is the industry term for brick. Concrete pavers today come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, some of which rival natural stone in creating a premium look.

How does Landscape Design work? Our landscape design and build process is meant to be as productive and painless for you as possible. There are so many options and possibilities; it can get overwhelming. If you have a list of areas that need work, it's hard to know which to focus on first. If you need a whole new full yard landscape design, it can be hard to envision how to get the most out of your space. In Axel Landscape, you'll get a dedicated partner to help figure it all out. Our job is to listen to your wants, needs, and budget, and translate that into the best design possible to achieve your goals.

Paver patios and paver driveways have nearly the same installation process. The difference is that a paver patio requires a minimum of 4″ of compacted base material, and a driveway requires at least 9″ of compacted base, to handle the weight of cars and trucks. For patios, we use 6″ of compacted base, and for driveways, we use a full 12″ of compacted base. We've done raised patios with as much as four feet of base underneath. You could drive a tank on those! A paver driveway, properly installed, will last much longer than either asphalt or concrete.

We had a very large, complex project that included two paver patios (one of which was roughly 43 ft by 19-24 ft with curved steps and edges and integrated lighting), retaining walls, stone pillars, 12 ft x 14 ft cedar pergola, fireplace, sitting wall, and regrading the lot and installing sod, stone edging, planting beds, and several trees, among other things.

We obtained multiple bids for our project and decided to work with Axel Landscape as it was clear they had the technical knowledge, experience, equipment, and crew to design and implement our vision. They were also heavily recommended by previous customers of theirs that we spoke to.

With the roughly two-to-three-week project now complete, my wife and I and our neighbors are blown away by the finished product. A few things that set Axel Landscape apart are Jodi’s technical knowledge at the design phase in addressing unique and complex issues with our lot, and Chris and the crew’s unbelievable attention to detail and skill.

We were impressed with their communication, cleanliness after each workday, ability to seamlessly work with and around our other contractors (irrigation, gas line, fence), and ability to adapt when we had a few adjustments mid project.

With how large and complex our project was we had very high expectations and Axel Landscape exceeded those expectations. We are very happy with our experience and the end result, and highly recommend working with them.

Our experience with Axel Landscape and the results were phenomenal! Our project included a pavers patio, pergola, rock wall and plants. We met with Jodi a number of times for planning and she was very honest, knowledgeable, a strong communicator and great at her job! Once we got started the crew worked HARD: 12+ hour days in 90+ degree heat. They focused solely on our project and we are thrilled with how quickly it came together and the results. Chris was so helpful along the way as we made a couple of small revisions to the original plan. Highly recommend!

This fabulous and crazy landscape season is over. 2018 was the latest we ever started (May 9th, I think!) and the earliest we ever ended. Nonetheless it was a great year. Thanks go out to our wonderful clients and employees.

Wrapped up a really nice project in Plymouth--- and most amazingly, we did this with zero lawn damage, even though it was down a steep hill and it rained like crazy overnight after our first day of work. (More on that below.)

Does anyone need some free hostas? We’re going to have at least 100. Mostly green but some variegated also. They all came out of this West Bloomington side yard project we just finished.
