The Greener Blade was formed in 2003 for the sole intention of raising the bar in lawn care. Owner, Nate Studer, has over 25 years of professional experience in the turfgrass management industry. Nate is a former golf course superintendent and has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Turfgrass Management from the University Of Minnesota. As an owner-operated company, comprising of staff with turfgrass education and experience like Nate, The Greener Blade will be able to personally acknowledge and provide dignified answers to any questions you may have with regards to your property hands down!

The Greener Blade's staff has over 40 years in combined professional experience in turfgrass management. Greener Blade's staff is comprised of former Assistant Golf Course Superintendents from around the metro area. As you know, there are many fertilizer and weed control companies out there that simply treat you like a number. Many do not listen to your actual needs, concerns, or are not educated to answer any sort of horticulture related questions. We feel we can meet all those needs! As a smaller owner operated company we will be able to listen to any concerns and answer any questions you may have because we do the work and have the knowledge to better serve you.

Mowing height is by far the number ONE key factor to obtaining a great looking lawn. For the months April through June, and September through October we recommend keeping your mowing height at 2 inches. Starting in July and through August, the mowing height should be raised to 3 1/2 inches. This will greatly reduce stress (by 50%) to your grass during the hot and typically dryer months of the year allowing more moisture to be retained in the plant. If you have a lawn mowing service, we recommend you discuss mowing height preferences with them to ensure great results.

Our installation cost is not per hour, it is installed per cubic yard. So whether we are there all day wheel burrowing around the house and placing mulch by hand around shrubbery or doing wide open areas the cost remains the same per cubic yard installed. We suggest shrub trimming, weeding, and application of roundup before mulching in order to get everything completed at once. You save money getting the details completed before mulching because there is less time required trying to perfect the required cleanup.

We use careful detail while mowing of your entire property using the proper mower size machinery to get your lawn looking its very best. Each week we cut your grass in a different direction allowing your lawn to receive a premium cut. The weed control products used by the Greener Blade are of the highest quality. This ensures a great looking yard without compromising the safety of your family and pets. In addition, the Greener Blade utilizes a technique known as "spot spraying" to avoid over-application.
