Carpenter ants have six legs, two antennae, and three main body parts. They are mostly black, with some reddish areas. You will typically see carpenter ants traveling together in large numbers, on invisible highways, in your grass, on your walkways, and inside your home. They have strong mandibles and use them to excavate their way through wood and wood structures to use it for nesting. Typically these ants are black, red or brown, or varying combinations of red and black. The workers in the colony can range between 1/8 to 1/2 an inch in length and the queen up to 5/8 inches in length.
At Rose Pest Solutions, we offer environmentally friendly bed bug heat treatments for homeowners in the following service areas. Proven to kill all stages of bed bug development, heat treatments are both a cost and time effective method for eliminating bed bug infestations. While other bed bug treatments often require multiple visits with extensive preparation, bed bug heat treatments, if applied correctly, are proven to resolve bed bug infestations in as little as one day. Heat treatment is a green pest control solution that utilizes portable electric heaters and fans to raise and maintain the temperature in an infested area to a level that is lethal to bed bugs and their eggs.

Stinging insects include bees, wasps, yellowjackets and hornets, all belonging to the order of insects known as Hymenoptera, which also includes ants. Most stinging insects are considered beneficial pollinators as long as they are not posing a threat to people or property. It's important to properly identify the type of stinging insects you have to determine if they are aggressive and the best way to remove them. In Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana the most common stinging insects are paper wasps, yellowjackets, bald-faced hornets, honeybees, and carpenter bees.
Rose Pest Solutions has its roots in our nation's oldest pest management company - Rose Exterminator Co., originally known as Rose Rat Exterminator Co., founded by Solomon Rose around 1860 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Reports show that Rose sold large quantities of pyrethrum powders to the Union Army during the Civil War to kill "cooties" (body lice). In 1867, Rose formulated a phosphorous paste for cockroach and rodent control. He also developed a spray gun, a powder duster, and formulated Rose's Rat Embalmer, a colored arsenate trioxide.

Rose Pest Solutions offers a fully integrated wildlife control program, designed specifically to remove nuisance wildlife and keep them from returning.
