Our moss-prevention treatment for cedar shakes uses only water and boiled linseed oil to help prevent damage to your roof. Since we know the beauty and health of your home is just as important to you as the environment as a whole, we have a long-standing tradition of providing the most thorough clean-up in the region.
I would not recommend Oswego Roofing for any project. They do not stand behind their work. Several years ago we contracted with them for a flat membrane roof. They told us they would be doing it themselves and would not be subcontracting it out. Well, they subcontracted the roof out and their subcontractor improperly installed the drains (did not use the factory required drains but poorly fabricated drains on site) which failed and allowed large amounts of water to enter our house during a winter snow/ ice storm, ruining the room under the roof and damaged the one below that. Then they did the finger pointing with their subcontractor (the reason we wanted to not have the work subcontracted in the first place!) and nobody took responsibility for this workmanship failure. Our insurance covered the damage but the drains were not replaced with the correct ones and we would have had to sue them as they did not stand behind their subcontractor's work. Recently we discovered another issue as we found significant water damage to the corner under this roof and found that the roof does not properly drain from that corner but allows the water to pool in the corner and then to flow over the side and into our structure. Another workmanship failure.
I worked with them for several years on my roof cleaning and this last time I was charged approximately $1000 for a roof cleaning compared to the previous amount, and there was a large amount of moss left on the roof. Despite numerous calls and emails no one responded to me to offer more explanation or any assistance with my concerns.
