People often ask the difference between open-cell foam and the closed-cell spray foam we use. The advantages of closed-cell foam include its strength, higher R-value, and a much greater resistance to air and moisture. Open-cell foam has tiny cells that aren't completely closed. The cells fill with air making the foam weaker and softer (think angel food cake) only offering an R-value of around 3.5 per inch. Closed-cell differs in that all of its tiny cells are closed and packed together, making it rigid.
Ken was just at my home to give us an estimate for wall insulation. He was straight-forwar d, explained everything about the process, and didn't try to upsell things I didn't need, and most importantly, he didn't talk down to me. After having several other companies here for estimates, Ken made this an easy decision for me! Thanks, Ken!
