Our president, David Battel, was already part of a successful entity working with Bob Naegele's Athletica, maker of CheckFlex flexible boards for hockey rinks. After years of development on structural aluminum construction materials, they decided to look for other uses. After floating several concepts, the idea they kept coming back to was decks. The light weight and strength made it ideal for outdoor product construction. Initially we built decks for residential homes-new construction and renovation.
