As a new homeowner, my balcony door was missing a screen door and I couldn't leave it open for fresh air. I asked my HOA for some recommendations, and they recommended A-1.
I called in the morning, and Mike answered. He got the team out here within a few hours to do measurements. I really appreciated this sense of urgency.
The team came on time, texted me when they arrived, were super friendly and very knowledgeable and measured the screen door. The team noted that the sliding door was really heavy, and they could add rollers so it can slide easily. I didn't even know this was a possibility, so I was happy to agree.
Gus and John came back a week later and installed the screen door and replaced the rollers. I mentioned to Mike, who was scheduling the team, that I had a meeting in the afternoon, so I very much appreciated that they came 30 minutes early so I had extra prep time for my afternoon meeting. After they performed their work, they moved my coffee table back and made everything nice and clean! I tried opening the new screen (which I really liked) and with rollers, it felt so much lighter!
Guests can now open the balcony door easily and I'm stress free now with having the ability to get fresh air! Thank you Gus and John!!
They did such a great job, I had them replace a room's plain closet doors with customized mirrored sliding doors. This service came a week later, so there was barely any wait time. We bought a place in which the doors of one of the 94x96 closets had a broken track. The mirrored doors were the original ones, and therefore of excellent quality. We did not want to change them. When we googled closet sliding door repair, we got a hit on American Sliding Door. I left a message for this company on Saturday night. On Sunday evening, they texted me saying that Hayward was out of the area they covered and informed me that they passed on my details to A-1 On Track Sliding Door Repair.
First thing Monday morning (MLK holiday), at 8 am, Mike of A-1 On Track Sliding Door Repair called me. I explained the issue. He asked me for the trim color and the size. And scheduled me for a 12 noon appointment to fix the track. His crew had not left yet, and he sent the parts with them.
His crew, Gus and John, had a cancellation and were able to pre-phone the appointment to 10:30m am.
Gus and John arrived at the time they told us they would. They were wonderful. They changed the track out on both closets and changed the wheels on both sets of closet doors. An hour and a half later, we had soundless, smooth, fully functional sliding doors on both our closets. And we were able to save the doors.

Actually would give them 6 stars if I could for coming out multiple times to make sure the closet doors at my parents place was in good working condition... We were able to get an appointment within 3 business days of reaching out to A-1. After struggling or weeks with our door, having such a quick turnaround for the fix was a godsend. So happy we called these guys! Gus and John were great as well! They were on time, fast, and our door opens and closes sooooo easily. We can finally enjoy our backyard without fear of getting stuck outside!

When I described the balkiness of our sliding glass door, the man on the phone said immediately that the door workings had gotten clogged and needed to be replaced. Expensive, but if it would get the door working after years of frustration, it'd be worth it.
So we made an appointment, and they arrived early, and while there was some fumbling around, and I had to alert them that the clamp lock was no longer working (they then added a bolt lock), they got the job done in an hour, working mostly from out on the patio, and the door works fine now.
So count me a satisfied customer.
