The technician was friendly and knowledgeable.
He explained the various options for fixing the dryer. He also offered a few things to keep an eye on with the washing machine which was purchased as the same time as the dryer. He explained how a few different parts might begin breaking down causing the same error message to appear and require a repair.
I will call them for any future appliance repairs.

Stove wouldn't stop clicking even when the burner was off. I called in desperate to have someone come out ASAP. Omar was super helpful and trustworthy- he gave me a likely diagnosis (water leaked into burner, which might be causing a short), a suggested fix (turning off the breaker to stop the clicking and give the stove a chance to dry), and booked me an appointment for as soon as possible just in case. A day and a half later, the burner had dried, the clicking stopped, and I was able to cancel the appointment free of charge. Incredible service and support - I will ABSOLUTELY call City Appliance next time, because they showed true care for me as a customer rather than just fulfilling a request and taking my money. This is true customer service leading to long-term loyalty. Thank you Omar.
Also important to note- the price quoted to me for the visit & potential work was totally fair and in line with what other companies quoted. Give City Appliance a call if needed!

Our washing machine stopped working and was out of service for 3 weeks. We tried a handful of other repair services in SF and never received a call back to get an appointment scheduled. I called City Appliance Repair and was able to get us in the next day! Aziz was our repair person, he was scheduled to arrive between 9-11 am. He called shortly after 9 to confirm that he'd arrive within 15 minutes. He was friendly, answered all of my questions, and fixed our washer within 30 minutes! The price for the service was great and the high-quality customer service really made the whole experience better. Thank you, Aziz!

My 5-year-old refrigerator stopped working and City Appliance sent a repairman the next morning. Aziz diagnosed it as an issue with the fan and expedited a replacement part which thankfully came in despite today's supply chain issues. When the fridge still wasn't cooling, he returned to investigate and discovered that the vent had frozen over with ice. Aziz communicated with me every step of the way and was determined to find the issue as neither of us wanted to see a relatively new appliance in the landfill. Thank you Aziz for bringing my fridge back to life!

5 Stars all the way. Honesty goes a long way with me, as do morals. This company has it !! I made an apt for my fridge/freezer repair. Today as the repairman was on his way he called me 1st from about half an hour away. He asked what's the problem, then how old the fridge was & he knew the Brand already. He said that is a common flaw for that fridge & to call the company as he's had some customers tell him that Samsung has come out & fixed it for free even after the warranty. Other wise he would come out here to tell me that & get $85.00. He has fixed them in the past for about 7-8 hundred with parts & labor & it goes out again in 6 months. I thanked him a few times & he goes let me tell you a quick story. He was talking with an owner ( maybe as he was starting to work for them ) & asked how he should charge $. The owner said pretend you are the customer & be fair & charge what you would want to pay.. THAT SAYS IT ALL !! They have a customer for life now !!

Leon's genuine approach and expertise were evident as he took the time to explain the issues with the dryers in detail. He was honest, upfront, and clearly knew what he was doing.
In a mere 10 minutes, Leon successfully repaired one of the dryers, showcasing his efficiency and skill. However, the other dryer required more extensive work, so Leon scheduled a follow-up appointment to complete the repairs. The pricing at City Appliance Repair was reasonable, considering the city's standards, and the entire staff was a pleasure to work with.

Dimitry was great. He couldn't fix my dishwasher but he was professional, helpful and affordable. I would not hesitate to use City Appliance Repair again if needed. I also got a same day appointment which was what I needed.

Dmitry was great! He arrived on time and checked on our non-functioning dryer. It'd turn on but it would not actually operate. He quickly diagnosed that the belt was broken and secured a replacement belt within a couple hours. He called back to ensure I was home so he could complete the repair.
Thanks for getting our dryer up and running again; it's truly a critical appliance with two young children in the house!

Leon was as good as it gets! Prompt, friendly, and very very knowledgeable. I know a lot about dryers now, because he took the time to make sure i understood what was going on with my dryer.

Leon knew his way around my Maytag Neptune series stackable washer and dryer like a pro. His repair was efficient, and the price was not outrageous.
That said, I was less impressed with how he made very little effort to be careful in moving the washing machine out of its closet, and in cleaning up afterwards. We have some new scratches in our wood floor, and I definitely had to clean up a mess of lint he tracked into the adjacent bathroom after he left. More attention to these sorts of detail would have elevated the experience.
We needed to have some follow up maintenance done (installing a new dryer vent and stainless steel piping for the hot and cold water inputs) and though Leon promised to do it at cost to him, I was disinclined to call him back for the reasons stated above.

Our dryer kept shutting off after 5 minutes. For a reasonable $60 service fee, Vladamir successfully diagnosed our problem. One repair service blamed the dryer and another, the outlet, but V. deduced that the breaker was bad -- the least expensive and DIY option of the bunch. If we had changed the outlet or bought a new dryer, we would have had the same problem.
I would definitely call them again as their integrity and honesty was clear!
