Monitoring Management represents the industry leading brands of Power Quality, Power Conditioning and Power Distribution equipment. Our experience with critical power systems goes back nearly 20 year. In those two decades, we have seen power technology change drastically. State of the art technology of yesterday would never satisfy even the most lax of specifications today. Despite this, the goals of critical electrical systems remain the same: You can't afford to have your critical equipment go down.
Whether it's servers, a production line, laboratory or institutional/educational cooling, we have worked with some of the world's largest organizations, helping them find cost-effective, reliable and efficient means of keeping their critical space conditioned. MonMan can trace its roots to a trial by fire. In one of the most mission critical industries of all, our founder made her mark in HVAC. During the construction of a twin-reactor nuclear power plant, Vicky Hulland worked as a field engineer responsible for the construction of the multi-loop cooling system.
The above image is what we grew in a Petri dish after swabbing inside the ductwork of an air conditioning unit that serves a hospital operating room. With all the hype during flu season, and the recent Ebola "crisis", we thought it would be interesting to find out what kinds of microbial contamination are lurking inside our country's hospitals. The samples were taken from a single air handling unit that serves an operating room at a major U.S. hospital. Once we got permission from 3 different hospital departments and promised to not disclose the location, we got to work, taking 10 samples at various points in the ventialtion system.
Nice article and interviews. A trend we have seen at MonMan over the past 10 years has been end users and cooling manufacturers leading the way, with the engineers playing catch-up. No offense intended, especially to Barton Hogge, who we've worked with before on Electrical and HVAC work for Data Centers in the SouthEast. He's a great guy and a great engineer. He further claimed, and predicted, that in the coming years, consulting engineers would be pushed out of the data center space altogether, as new technologies came into play that required little to no real engineering.

Wow, lots of innocuous words here. Don't be paranoid; just write good emails and don't abuse your customers' trust.

Make sure you renew your certificates and configure your server and/or cloud edge properly!
Big news for big data centers. Let's hope the new generation of HDDs use fast controllers, and they don't try fooling customers by touting fast speeds but create a bottleneck with a cheap controller!
