We have used A-1 for inspection, service issues and a repair. They have always tried to accommodate our needs in a timely manner. The repair we needed was scheduled for the next day but got bumped up to same day!

I did not research the cost of Freon and I am choosing not to after the repair. It's very expensive!

Kirk Schlichting visited, estimated the cost, and patiently and fully explained the process & equipment. He answered my additional questions by return phone call or e-mail. Kenya Davis in the office followed w/scheduling & other issues quickly and thoroughly. The office even handled the rebate paperwork for me. The install team was on time, cleaned uo ,
I suggest you interview them yourself when considering heating systems.

My furnace started to fail during this cold season. It's about 15years old and requested for a free estimate for a replacement. This review was for Kirk S, who came and did a great job. Straightforward, no hassle. He is a pro to this stuff. He is not pushy when it comes to Sales and that's a good thing! They even have payment plans, since we all knew that this is quite an investment for years to come. It's needed, can't complain with that. Great communication! He emailed me the quote, within 10mins after leaving my place! I was ready to roll for a new one. However, the next day, my heater is back in action. I texted Kirk that it worked again, but as soon as this eventually gives up, A1 will be my first choice for installation! Great local business who stands up to what they had started! Thanks Kirk! Hopefully this will last me through this winter! But if ever, I am confident, that when it's time, A1 will always be there to warm up the day! Or even cool a hot day! Unbeknownst to me the pilot light on my water tank went out the day before Thanksgiving. I called A-1 early Thanksgiving morning before 7am as I am a platinum member and left a message. I was called back less than 10 minutes later and their on call service rep was at my house less than 45 minutes later to put the pilot light on. I signed up 2 1/2 years ago for their $40 a month service post getting a new water tank from A-1. Definitely worth the money to get same day service on a holiday! Total cost today - $3!

I've had both a new central heater and air conditioner installed by A1. The quality of workmanship on both jobs was excellent, they showed up on time and knocked out the jobs with a minimum of mess and impact to our home. Diane in the office is highly responsive and a pleasure to work with, and has since sent me copies of my paid invoices for my records when I lost my copies. I would recommend them to anyone seeking a replacement or addition of AC or Heating equipment.

I've been with A-1 for about 10 years and it's been mostly uneventful. I had my annual inspection about a month ago and it went smoothly. However this weekend I noticed it getting extremely hot in the middle of the night even though thermostat was set at 68 deg.
I called A-1 and got a next day appointment. Brian came (on time) and worked very hard and long and fixed the (complicated) problem. He was extremely pleasant and got the job done.
Since I have the A-1 service plan, this long , complicated repair cost me only 28.00.
Had been dreading dealing with this issue but it went really well!

Company is pretty great. We had a heatpump installed and a emergency gas shut off valve. The work was done over two days. Guys were incredibly friendly and professional. They wore masks. They would come and ask questions if there were different options on how to do things. They cleaned up after themselves, provided context and information if or when it was missing. I can say I've never dealt with folks who work in HVAC, but these folks were fantastic.

We got a new HVAC installations from A-1. The Fujitsu they installed was very good. The good thing with this is, we don't have a furnish anymore. The Fujitsu took care of the cooling and heating of the home. The installation crew was very professional, friendly and they did a great job. We will highly recommend A-1 to our family and friends.

We have been customers with A1 for over 35 years. Each job and upgrade they have completed for is is handled perfectly. One furnace had an odd vibration that just could not be locate. One day the installer shows up and says he has an idea what was causing vibration. He did his magic and found the problem, a simple fix was the answer.
Today Brian came by for the semi-annual checkup. He knows where everything is. No issues. Will see him in December.
A-1 is the best there is and they are a longtime local business that does a lot in the community.

We had many issues revolving around how our previous contractor installed our original furnace, duct work and registers; it was our first house, and we had the work done by an aquanitance who really did not know what they were doing. In addition to the furnace and the water heater being not being vented properly, the configuration of the return air plenum was such that the system was working very inefficiently. Our consultant Kirk, diaganosed all these issues and gave us a reasonable quote. This was a win in itself as we were "ghosted" by the other contractors who came out and surveyed the job.
A-1 replaced all the furnace duct work, re-configured the return air plenum, replaced all registers and reconfigured locations as needed, solved our complex venting issues and installed a new water heater.
Everyone associated with A-1 showed up on time, were friendly, professional and neat. The installers were accessible and friendly and were able to answer any specific questions or concerns about the process. Kirk was also quick to reply if we had any concerns.
Even after the installation, anyone who came to inspect the work, whether it be from the city or third-party energy compliance folks, always, gave us unsolicitated feedback on how great the job looked.
Later on we had an issue with the water heater. I emailed Kirk and A1 and they got back to me immediately. They send out a foreman first thing next morning and after a through diagnosis and troubleshooting it turned out the Water Heater itself was defective. The water heater was still under warranty, and they were able to install it ASAP for free with very little disruption to our household.
