Trio Landscaping provides quality service that begins with your personal consultation and continues beyond your satisfaction of a wonderfully completed landscape. We differ from the other companies by providing consultation, design and project management services that let you use as much or as little of our talent in the inspiration or creation of your landscape. We pride ourselves in being the landscape designer that helps you find a landscape that meets your lifestyle in both form and function.
I am Diana Grundeen, owner and lead designer of Trio Landscaping, LLC. I started Trio with the idea that as my own company, I could be inspiring to more people using my unique approach to the landscape design process. A landscape designer since 1999, plus 4 years experience in garden centers and attending Anoka Technical for my A.A.S. degree I have the experience and passion to provide creative and inspiring landscapes. Some of my passions include water features, cohesive family spaces, and small urban retreats.
It's like creating a small nature preserve in your yard. Water features offer perhaps some of the most unique and inspiring design options for your home landscaping projects. Below you'll see several different styles and types of water features we have installed around the Twin Cities.
A professional landscape design creates a unique and customized look that you won't get when you simply hire a landscaper to install some plantings. Below you'll see examples of our landscaping and landscape plantings - remember, though, that the look and feel you see here is carefully planned out with a professional landscape design that takes into account your desired results. Each of these designs is unique and designed specifically for the family and home that they showcase.
Our overview is a 15 minute phone conversation of what you are looking for or to change in your landscapes big picture: plantings, patios, landscape renovations, outdoor living, landscape upgrades, curb appeal and so on. After chatting about what you are looking for we can let you know how it matches up with our services and if we are a good fit. If so we can then send you out a work sheet and then schedule our comprehensive on-site consultation to go over your landscape needs in more detail. This overview helps if you are not sure the type of landscape services you may need or what type of person will be the best for you and your before spending time meeting with people.
In addition to making your home more beautiful at night, landscape lighting increases night time visibility which improves safety and security. Here are a few examples of landscape lighting we have recently completed in the Minneapolis / St. Paul MN area.
Sure you can tell anyone you want a patio installed, but we want to hear about how you want to use that patio so your design is custom to your needs and space. By really focusing on how you are using your space and what type of landscaping you want the design is more accurately sized, providing you with more satisfaction in your completed project. Our goal is to take you concept to completion and we understand that everyone needs a different level of assistance to get there, so we have a multi-step program giving you options as we go.
When you agree to have plans created for your landscape we take careful measurements and pictures to note your property's unique features. Your landscape plans are based on the comprehensive on-site consultation. The phases or elements to be included are discussed and your designer can then continue to form those ideas into a fantastic opportunity for your landscape. In addition to site measurements and photos we use property surveys whenever possible for accuracy about your site. We begin your design with the initial or priority phase so that you can grow into your entire landscape as the budget allows.
I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of the landscaping in our front yard. Diana and her team of experts created a "little bit of heaven".
Nice, professional, and hard worker! Diana cares about her clients.
At first I thought it was refreshing to find a female landscaper in this male dominated field. My husband and I had attended a talk she gave on.
A popular landscaping shrub or tree, pagoda dogwood’s architectural appearance can serve as a garden’s focal point while feeding birds and pollinators. The species does well in cold climates. "When do you cut back your garden" is not the same as how. In some areas of my garden it's each spring (like out front) when I mow it all down at 4 inches. Around back I leave areas where stems are 12-24" tall for nesting bees. Don't cut back the stems you left up last spring as they could be...
