The most important aspect of Landcare's business model is to be a company large enough to service any size client, but small enough to keep the relationships that matter to our clients and staff. K.C. is the founder and owner of Landcare. He launched in 1974, while at the same time earning a Finance degree from the University of South Florida. K.C. has been a professional horticulturist for more than 40 years, a licensed pest control operator for 35 years, and an irrigation contractor for 25 years.
Our Integrated Pest Management program is administered by a state-licensed and certified Pest Control Operator. With the expertise of our Horticulturists, a program will be designed which, instead of seeking to eradicate all pests, instead prevents the population of those insect types which are destructive, while allowing those considered to be beneficial to survive on non-infested turf, shrubs and trees. Landcare's fertilization and nutrient program differs from most others in that we use a lot of minor elelments that enhance the health and vigor of your landscape.
All landscapes depend on the correct amount of water delivered at the appropriate time. Landcare will perform a monthly preventitive maintenance inspection to ensure the proper functioning of your system. During this inspection, a technician will check timers, heads, valves and pumps, and provide a written report of the status of your system. Emergency situations can be addressed promptly. Our clients are provided with the mobile phone number and email address of both the account manager, as well as the irrigation manager.
Our mowing service includes line trimming, edging and blowing. We trim along foundations, fence lines, flower beds, sidewalks and curbs. Our blowers add the finishing touch by removing debris from the hard surfaces on your property. Frequent mowing helps a lawn resist weeds, insects and disease. Infrequent mowing causes too much grass to be removed at one time, leading to distress on the root system. Lawns that are mowed too infrequently will look thin, spotty or burned. Landcare owns a truck-mounted vacuum with a 25-foot hose to facilitate annual leaf cleanup at no charge to our clients.
Landcare offers a full-service maintenance program for any size property. We are Florida-Certified in Pest Control and Irrigation. We do not sub-contract work with the exception of tree removal and stumping, electrical, plumbing or other specialty trade. There aren't multiple service providers for management to keep track of.
