For over 30 years, Lindsey Landscape & Design has taken our commitment to protecting our outdoor environment and resources seriously with our innovative and creative solutions for creating well balanced and sustainable gardens and landscapes. In today's tough urban environment, we stand proudly by our many successful landscape designs and installations with their emphasis on tree preservation and environmentally friendly practices. Serving Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, Chapel Hill, and the surrounding areas, our landscaping solutions are designed to grow and change with the seasons and improve year after year.
NCNLA's EXCELLENCE IN THE LANDSCAPE AWARDS program reflects our commitment to the creation and preservation of the beauty of our landscape. The program is designed to recognize and make awards to those landscape professionals who execute quality landscape projects, and to recognize citizens who underwrite such work. In sponsoring the awards program, NCNLA is striving to increase public awareness of environmental improvement through quality landscaping, and to encourage the landscape contractors' consistent use of quality materials and workmanship.
From a simple tree planting in memory of a loved one to an extensive landscape installation or renovation, Lindsey Landscape & Design promises to deliver a quality experience. We can renovate an existing landscape to include color and year round interest, install a complete landscape for your new or existing home, incorporate water features to compliment your garden, install lighting to enhance your garden and security, and coordinate hardscaping elements such as stonework, trellis', benches, and statuary.
Lindsey Landscape and Design can help you with the planning, installation, and coordination hardscaping elements into your landscape design. Our installation services include patios and walkways, stonework, trellis', benches, and statuary, retaining walls, and more.
Our experienced horticulturists design gardens following two concepts: first, we avoid harm, and second, by phasing your program in over a 3 year period. A few examples of how these apply are: we preserve existing trees whenever possible: we help you choose and install the right plants in the right places, so that they survive, and prosper (we pride ourselves on our high survival rate): we assist in implementing irrigation, watering, and fertilization practices that restore your soil: and we help you choose weed and pest control practices that avoid broad, indiscriminate killing, - just to name a few!
Much of the effort that goes into typical lawn care is done in a way that degrades the quality of the soil over time, and pollutes water. Even worse, the improper use of fertilizers and pesticides weakens the grass, making the repeated use of these products more necessary. We can help you break this cycle by focusing on positive changes to your lawn. We can help you implement a program that begins with proper soil testing and planting, the proper use of organic fertilizers in the correct amounts, and we can teach you cutting and watering techniques that will help your lawn develop into a strong, healthy lawn that is naturally resistant to weeds and pests.
When we help you choose plants for your landscape, first and foremost we help you choose the right plants for the right place, so that their basic requirements regarding sun, shade, and water are met. Some drought resistant sun-loving plants may require no watering at all. When irrigation is necessary, instead of using broadcast sprays we encourage target specific techniques which are healthier for trees, shrubs, perennials and turf, and more economical as well.
