An ethic of planet stewardship drives Vanessa Gardner Nagel, FAPLD, NCIDQ. Her designs are innovative and timeless, while solving each garden's natural balance. Harmony of verdant spaces and outdoor living should soothe the psyche or inspire exuberant conversation & activity. As the owner of Seasons Garden Design LLC, in Vancouver, WA, she designs gardens that function well, are easy to maintain, are scaled appropriately, provide habitat to keep in step with the environment, and integrate a giggle or two.
Seasons Garden Design uses a typical landscape design process, but is flexible with each client. Not every project is the same, so the process is tailored to YOU. Learn more about the process. Sometimes garden owners have only a few questions they need answered or a small area they want to discuss and don't need a two-hour consultation. To that end, and in the interest of recent social distancing recommendations (especially where children are involved), we've decided to offer online consultation services in one-hour increments for $100/hour (lower than my normal rate because no driving!).
I am not a landscape designer, I am a very methodical planning oriented person who is interested in redesigning the yard. This book is fabulous and exactly what I needed. It does detail the principles of design (Visual balance of leaves, the importance of height for single story structures etc.) but as the book says, that all starts somewhere in the middle. I am really enjoying your book! Your approach to design has a lot of great information and I'm looking forward to trying some of your ideas out on my next project.
