South West Plumbing was started over 35 years ago by Bill and Connie Buckingham out of their home with just one truck. Now South West has over 40 trucks that serve King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties*. The name South West Plumbing came from the notion that we began serving only the West Seattle area; but over time, and with the addition of the West Seattle Bridge, serving a wider area became easier. All South West Plumbing plumbers and technicians are certified and come prepared with fully-stocked trucks that have everything they need to do the job right.

One of the most problematic drains is your main sewer line; all the drains in your home eventually lead here. If the main line becomes blocked or clogged, call the experts at South West Plumbing. Most modern homes in Seattle have an access called a cleanout located just outside the house. This allows our technicians to use their specialized equipment to clean your main sewer line from the outside. Having an outside clean out is a necessity at your home. Once the main line is clear we can perform a camera inspection to see if there is a bigger problem lurking.

Hydro-jetting is a process by which a high-power water jet nozzle is used to clean and clear a sewer pipe or drain line. First we locate the clean-out access for your home and then perform a camera inspection to determine the scope of the clog or if damage is present. Cracked or broken sewer lines cannot be cleaned with hydro-jetting and must be replaced. Our hydro-jetting machine is trailer mounted and produces up to 4,000 psi to thoroughly clean and clear your lines. We can clear up to 500 feet of sewer line at up to 6 inches in diameter.

At South West Plumbing in Seattle, we understand what it's like to deal with the mess and the inconvenience of plumbing problems. Trust us to get your home back in order as quickly as possible whenever you need plumbing maintenance or repair. South West Plumbing in Seattle does its best to make sure that the process of diagnosing and repairing your plumbing fixture is as convenient as possible. When you make an appointment with us, you don't have to worry about timing - we'll work around your schedule, with no extra charge for weekends or evenings.

This line may come from the city meter or from a well, or even from a community water system. This line is called a "water service". Your water service may be made of copper, galvanized steel, polyethylene, or PVC. The effective lifespan of these different materials vary greatly. Our plumbers are trained to locate the area of the leak and determine if repair or replacement is necessary. Should you choose to replace the line (most commonly selected option), we can get this job done quickly so you have the least amount of inconvenience possible.

South West Plumbing is proud to provide our customers with the most advanced water heaters available on the market. If you're not sure which type is right for you, give us a call and we'll help you make the best choice for your home or business. Gas storage tank water heaters use an insulated storage reserve, allowing you to have up to 75 gallons of hot water available on demand. This is a plus for families who use large quantities in a short amount of time. A general rule: the larger your household, the higher capacity you'll need.

We all know the weather in Seattle can cause issues with basement flooding, which is why a properly working and well-maintained sump pump is so important in addition to having a sub-floor drainage system. South West Plumbing specializes in sump pump repair, maintenance and installation in the greater Seattle area. As each home differs, so do sump pump requirements such as size, capacity and installation. We can advise you on the best solution available. Proper installation of a sump pump is crucial to ensuring its operation as well as your safety.

Using a specially designed water-proof camera system, our expert technicians can identify problems in your drain or sewer line that are otherwise invisible and hard to find. With a camera inspection we can pin point problems in drain pipes. The camera is inserted through the clean-out port on the outside of your home or the alternative access point. The technician can view the camera feed in real time directly on the unit as it is being inserted. With a camera inspection, we can take the guesswork out of working on a plumbing problem.

Today toilet manufacturers are developing new ways to decrease the amount of water needed to operate your toilet safely and effectively. The latest generation of toilets use less water per flush and some models have a dual flush mechanism that decreases water usage when less of a flush is necessary. Of course, we can unclog your toilet and repair anything that needs to be fixed with your current toilet. Many times it makes more sense to upgrade to a newer and more efficient toilet than to simply keep paying for repairs on an older one, but our plumbers will give you all the options on how to repair/replace any plumbing problem concerning your toilet fixtures.

Most homes in Seattle have a plumbing access port called a clean-out located just outside the house. From here our experienced drain technicians can perform a drain camera inspection to first inspect your drain & sewer system for blockages or other faults. Afterwards we can use hydro-jetting or rooting to clear your drain so you can get back to your daily routine. In most cases, this operation can be performed from the outside of your home. Should we need to access your bathroom, kitchen or utility room, we take the utmost caution to keep you and your family safe with our no contact social distancing policy.
