There is nothing more shocking than finding out you need a new water heater after you've stepped in the shower. Water heaters typically need to be replaced every ten to fifteen years depending on water conditions, but oftentimes a small repair will keep your water heater working until you are ready to invest in a new water heater. New water heaters have self-lighting technology and meet current energy efficiency standards. Tank-type water heaters use an electric element or a gas burner to heat a volume of water.

Gas piping is required for new gas fixtures such as tankless water heaters, dryers, ranges, fire pits or fireplaces, or BBQs. It is also needed when you change the location of a gas fixture or when you're converting from electric to gas. Propane gas piping must be performed by a licensed plumber and requires a permit. Putting your hand in the garbage disposal can be scary - especially after that one horror movie. Often times a garbage disposal gets jammed with things you didn't intend to put down the drain. While most garbage disposals have a reset button, typically, the disposal needs to be disassembled to remove debris. A licensed journeyman plumber can easily determine if the disposal needs serviced or replaced. Additionally, while repairing a garbage disposal, we can inspect and/or address other under sink plumbing issues.

A repipe is the process of replacing old and/or failing waste and water piping. Repiping can be complicated by old connections, framing issues, or little to no crawl space. A qualified journeyman plumber can determine where your piping is within its service life, and whether or not it is a better value to do a repair or a full repipe. A job permit is required for repipes. A popular and less expensive alternative to copper piping from the late 1970s to 1995. It is no longer used because of its high failure rate due in part to the chlorine concentrations in potable water.
