I contracted with Safeside Chimney to repair the top of my chimney in the end of May 2021 giving them a deposit of 33%. I never heard from them until the end of August. They scheduled a repair date of 9/2/2021. The crew showed up but told me they didn't have the appropriate scaffolding to complete the repair and they needed to consult with the operations manager on next steps. I contacted them by email and phone 8 times between 9/2 and 10/28. I was either ignored or told to call back later since they were working on the issue. Finally on 10/28 I received an email apologizing for the lack of communication from Kevin Beary, VP of Safeside. In the email he assured me he would talk to the crew and call me on 10/29. I never received a call and in early November I received a check for my deposit. The cowards didn't even have the decency to contact me to tell me they were abandoning the project. I lost 2 months of potential time to find another vendor. The vendors I've contacted now are not available until spring so fingers crossed this winter doesn't cause more damage due to Safeside Chimney's negligence. In hindsight if they think this behavior is acceptable then I seriously question the integrity of their skills and craftsmanship.

These guys did a GREAT job replacing my chimney liner. Very professional, kept me posted the whole way, explained everything to me before doing any work, used photos and videos to show what the trouble was and what needed to be done. Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful experience with Safeside Chimney, they were on time, very proactive about letting me know of any changes, (snowstorm) and were able to accommodate my timeline due to house sale.
They cleaned 2 chimneys, put on caps, rebuilt parts of one chimney and installed a cleanout door on one chimney.

I had a great experience with the gentleman who came out for the initial estimate. He was very honest and forthcoming. Very pleasant. The guys that came to do the work were also very pleasant and honest. At no time did I feel like they were trying to sell me on spending more money. My chimney was very damaged on the inside. I saw the footage of film and agreed with them. It was my decision to have them do the very extensive job. What started as a simple job turned into an extensive one. They were very professional. It took a few days but for the first time since I owned my home, the chimney was working the way it is suppose to. They were meticulous in how they did the job. They cleaned up everything. My chimney is beautiful. Thank you so much guys

They were punctual , laid down cloths to keep the hardwood floors clean, and did what they were suppose to do. I also had them install a gas fireplace insert, which I love. That took several trips to my house and coordinating with the propane company. I wood recommend them to anyone who needs chimney service or a gas fireplace insert. They were recommended to me by someone.
