Tile Art Design (TileArt, LLC) and it's owner, Nan Crowe Bieneman, are grateful for our most recent community project. Visiting this building in Eagle River, Wisconsin will be worthwhile for builders, engineers, architects, and skating enthusiasts from around the world for many years to come. We worked with Nan to design a tile surround for a newly installed gas fireplace in our 1920s bungalow.
Furnished Motawi Tileworks field tile, including pre-clipped corners for the 1 dots on diagonal, and overglazed edges for the tiles on the face that overlapped the tiles on the sides. Collaborative design with owners, with down payment for design fees on 2/22/2020. Design #20, shown below, accepted on 6/2/2020. Tile materials ordered on 6/3/2020, and shipped on 8/14/2020. Provided installation services 8/26-28/2020. Total cost = $7,620.69. The "before" photo shows original faux brick surround, with some of the central arched opening removed by Chimney Specialists, who installed the Kozy Heat 36" Bayport gas fireplace insert.
Collaboration with owners, working together on selection of shapes for the circular mandalas and arched border on floor, custom border on backsplash, and glaze colors to coordinate with the retro cabinets and appliances.
