More than a home inspector, more than a home inspection! The state of Virginia and many home inspector certifying organizations do not require a home inspector to determine how to repair issues discovered during a home inspection. With a background in home construction, repair, and remodeling and a licensed Home Improvement Contractor, Aztec Home Services LLC provides you with more than a home inspection that tells what issues were found. We believe you deserve more; your home inspector should have the knowledge and experience to explain how to repair and address many of the issues found during the home inspection.

Most Virginia home buyers are not aware but Virginia does not require home inspectors to tell potential home buyers about mold even if they find it during the home inspection. In fact, Virginia abolished the mold licensing requirement in 2012. Now any person can claim they are a mold inspector because there are no requirements for education or experience. This leaves the home buyer in a very unfortunate position. If the home inspector mentions mold in your home inspection report and does not refer you to a professional mold inspector, you could receive inaccurate information about mold in your home.
Areas and items inspected during your home inspection, which can provide evidence of a defect in one of the four major systems. Foundation/Structure: The basement, crawlspace, attic and visible structural components. Any present conditions or clear indications of active water penetration observed by the inspector. The report will include any general indications of visible foundation issues, which may include, floor sloping, improper operation of doors, inoperable windows, normal settlement and unusual foundation cracks.
