All Surface Cleaning is anaffordable Roof, Gutter and Deck Cleaning contractor service serving the greater Portland metro area. It is our belief that anyone can do cheap work for a cheap price. Others can oversell the amount of work that needs to be performed in order to justify a "high quality" price. Our goal is to provide the homeowner what we would want ourselves: VALUE - good workmanship and professionalism at a fair price. You owe it to yourself and your home to discover why All Surface Cleaning is a company that provides the best gutter, deck and roof cleaning Portland has to offer.
All Surface Cleaning Company is an award winning, local, and family owned business. We are one of two closely interrelated divisions. All Surface Cleaning Company works primarily on exterior maintenance projects (cleaning and restoring roofs, decks, gutters, siding and flatwork) and All Surface Roofing and Construction is involved in slightly larger projects, such as roof, gutter and retractable awning installation and replacement. Additionally, we own a separate but still connected company, All Pest Control Company.
All Surface offers our own brand of gutter protection - GutterFlow Needle and Leaf Barrier. This great system uses an entirely different method than most other protection systems. It works on the principle of displacement. There is nowhere for the debris to go because the gutters are filled with this very porous material. It allows for your gutters to function as intended - keep rainwater flowing into your downspout and away from your home's foundation. GutterFlow is made from a very durable material - exterior grade, open cell polyethylene, formed with UV protectant and mildewcide incorporated right into it.
Yes we know, gutter cleaning is not rocket science. That being said, there are right and wrong ways to do every job. And amazingly, we get dozens of new customers every year who say we did a better job than the company who did the same work previously. That makes us feel good. It also goes to show that the little areas where we try harder do indeed make a difference! Clean gutters are a critical part of your home's design. Clogged and overflowing gutters can cause roof leaks, siding rot, erosion, foundation seepage and basement flooding, and increase the likelihood of pest infestations.
The difference that pressure washing can make on various surfaces around your home can be amazing. Of course, there are some surfaces for which pressure washing is an ideal mode of cleaning and others for which is should be used only as a last resort. Roofs immediately come to mind as an example of the latter as there are more gentle alternatives available. Concrete, however, is a great example of a surface that responds well to periodic power washing. Siding, decks, gutter exteriors, driveways, walkways, patios and retaining walls are all surfaces where pressure washing can work wonders.
A beautiful deck can help increase our outdoor living opportunities. Here in the Portland area, with the variety of weather conditions we are subject to, being able to enjoy the outdoors when the opportunity presents itself is crucial. However, our unique set of environmental conditions makes periodic deck refinishing (some combination of stripping, cleaning and staining) critical to keeping your deck in good condition. Long stretches of frequent rain followed by long stretches of intense UV exposure put both wood and synthetic decks to the test.
While cleaning your roof is beneficial, without a roof treatment (which most commonly is applied for moss control) you will need to have your roof cleaned much more frequently. This is actually just the opposite of what your objective should be - you want to avoid cleaning your roof too often. Once a roof has been cleaned, regardless of method, a roof treatment should be applied. A proper treatment will kill the remnant of smaller moss left behind. No roof cleaning method removes 100% of the moss and sometimes, those methods that remove the most initially (power washing) do so at the expense of deteriorating the roofing material.
One of the pillars on which we have built our excellent reputation is the great roof cleaning services we offer. Yet, how do you quantify what makes one roof cleaning company so much better than another? Mostly, this difference comes from expertise and care. When you add in our access to exceptional, proprietary roof treatments, you have the ingredients for an exceptional roof cleaning experience. Regardless of whether it's a composition, tile, composite, metal or cedar shake roof, they want to apply their "one solution fits all" practice to all roof types.
Some decks need just a straightforward cleaning and reapplication of stain. Job done. Other decks, however, might need a little more work to regain the luster they originally had. Restoring your wood deck, in addition to cleaning and re-staining it, may additionally involve brightening, resetting nails, stripping, buffing, board replacement and sanding. Most decks only require standard cleaning, brightening and refinishing, with some requiring partial restoration (stripping, possibly buffing.) Very few require full restoration.
However, the results of siding washing will vary greatly depending on your home's type of siding. Different materials get dirty with different types of stains and pollutants. Additionally, the properties of various siding materials will greatly affect the results of cleaning. Finally, the method of siding wash, of which there are several, can affect the results. The most common siding types in the Portland area are cedar (bevel, pattern, tongue and groove or shingle) and fiber cement (a composite product.)
Gutter repair needs can take the form of many problems. The bottom line, however, is that they all impede your gutter system from doing what it is meant to do: drain rainwater safely from your roof to an area (either sewer system, landscape or nearby green-space) away from your home's foundation. Often, we get calls from homeowners thinking that their gutters might need repairing as a result of water leaking and dripping from them. Upon inspection, we find that the only problem is that the gutters are full of debris, causing water to overflow and drip from the gutter.
