I've been building and refinishing furniture for well over 20 years for myself, family, friends and as the owner of Fresh Vintage NC, a furniture refinishing company. I've also been helping Triangle area homeowners and small businesses organize, redecorate and stage their homes and businesses for the past 10 years. This business was originally the brainchild of my friend Dina, a local artist and art school teacher. We had received so many requests for help that our new business was born and together we launched 2 Cabinet Girls.

Kristen and the wonderful team at 2 Cabinet Girls/Fresh Vintage did an amazing job on our vintage German Shrunks (basically a massive wall unit of cabinets that included a large bar cabinet, a china cabinet and slim storage cabinet). After realizing that moving these massive pieces of furniture would be difficult, Kristen suggested painting the cabinets in place, and taking the doors/drawers for spraying. Her team worked efficiently and carefully, taking much more time and care than I would have been able to devote to these pieces. We took them from a dark wood stain to white with a beautiful grey glaze to highlight the details int he woodwork, and couldn't be happier with the finish! They fit in our home so much better, and we have received compliments from everyone who has seen them! Yes, it was a multiple days process, but the team was great dealing with my two young children and dog. I will definitely use them again!

A slight tweak with the cabinet color - from a more creamy/ yellowey shade with glaze, to a brighter Sherwin Williams Alabaster, helped to inject some light into the kitchen.
