Our family run business has been serving architects, private individuals and collectors, designers and decorators for over 50 years. Committed to condition and quality, we have carefully built one of the finest and most extensive collections anywhere in the world, including period European carpets from Savonnerie, Aubusson and Axminster, unusual antique Oriental rugs from such renowned weaving areas as Oushak, Sultanabad, Tabriz, Kashan and Agra as well as classical Persian and Antique Caucasian Rugs.
We care for our carpets meticulously and offer the same superior cleaning and restoration resources to our clients. If you would like to know more about our restoration and conservation services, please call us at 203.428.5195. The best way to keep a rug clean is to keep it from getting dirty in the first place. Removing outdoor shoes when entering the house (as people do in most rug-weaving countries) is a good idea if this accords with your lifestyle. Bare-foot or sock-foot traffic is much gentler to a rug than a hard outdoor-shoe sole (or spike heel), and leaving your outdoor shoes at the entrance to the house tracks in much less dirt.
