The Utah Center for Architecture is not staffed. That means our board members are the heroes of the organization-doing the hands-on work of planning and carrying out programs as well as the traditional board roles of fiduciary oversight, policy setting, and meeting non-profit laws and standards. We're very proud of. New! UCFA's Utah Architects Project, an online archive of the lives and work of Utah architects beginning in 1847, now includes a growing number architects from the mid- to late-20th century.
The Utah Center for Architecture (UCFA) supports education and initiatives focused on contemporary architecture as well as Utah's architectural past, our urban environments and created landscapes. We invite Utah's citizens to gain a new understanding of the places that surround us, join the conversation about "good design", and support our initiatives to create great places. In 1983, the Utah Chapter of The American Institute of Architects formed the Utah Foundation for Architecture and the Built Environment as a separate non-profit organization for public outreach and education.
Today we celebrate World Architecture Day.
