We were pioneers in green building before the term was created. Our solar earth-berm home was constructed in 1984 and brought together many innovations in building design to create an extremely efficient example of active and passive systems. As a member of the National Association of Home Builders we are currently completing a new home which will be one of the first in California to obtain a NAHB Green Certification in residential construction. In 2007 the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the International Code Council (ICC) partnered to form to establish a much-needed and nationally-recognizable standard definition of what is meant by "Green Building."
