Stump removal consists of grinding out a tree stump approximately 4 to 6 inches below the ground. When a stump is ground, a large amount of wood chips are left in the yard. These chips can be used as mulch or disposed of in the garbage; however Desoto Tree Service is only responsible for removing the stump, not removing or transferring the chips that are a result of the stump removal. We recommend that once a stump is removed, the customer should remove the tree chips from the area and apply dirt over that area followed by a seed or sod, rather than replanting another tree or bush over the same area.
