Ken's Tree Service, serving central Iowa for over 15 years, offers tree care, tree removal, and tree trimming or pruning in Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston, Altoona, Waukee, Norwalk, Indianola, Bondurant, Grimes and other surrounding communities. We also do stump removal, storm cleanup, and we trim, shape or remove shrubs, bushes and hedges. We adapt our services to meet your needs. For bigger jobs with access to your yard we have a 60 foot bucket truck, chip trucks, wood chippers and a clam log loader, making for faster and more efficient service.

Ken's Tree Service got its start over 15 years ago, when Ken began hauling construction debris from new construction sites, and customers began to ask us to trim and shape trees and to remove the branches from the construction sites. Presented with this new opportunity to do tree removal, tree trimming and tree care in the Des Moines area, Ken's Tree Service was born. In 2006 Ken sold 50% of the company to Randy. Randy had been working in the tree care industry since 1982. In 2013, Randy purchased full ownership of the company.

Ken's Tree Service is available for emergency service, which is often the case following a major thunderstorm, winter storm or high wind event, such as a tornado. If your home, garage, other structures or your driveway is damaged by fallen trees or large limbs, please call us at any time for emergency service. Please keep in mind that we will prioritize emergencies based on the severity of the damage. Sometimes your situation will not be an emergency, but it will still require cleanup after a storm.
