That's right, for every tree we remove from a residential property we will plant a new tree at a nominated location in Central Ohio. With our Pre-Construction Tree Preservation service, we will build a custom plan for the construction team to follow so the desired trees remain living long after construction is complete. Contact us BEFORE construction begins so we can help maintain your desired landscape!

The stump will be ground out to approximately 4-6 below the surface of the soil which is sufficient for growing grass, if desired. The stump shavings (which is a dense mixture of dirt and wood shavings) are left on site unless you choose the Grinding + Clean-Up or Stump Restoration option (see below). The stump will be ground out deep and wide - approximately 16-18 deep and as wide as needed. The stump will be ground to your chosen depth (below grade or deep & wide) and the shavings above ground level are removed.

Our tree lighting protection systems are designed to provide a point for lightning's current to travel safely to ground. The installation of our lightning protection systems will reduce the likelihood of damage to the tree and nearby structures (that would have been damaged by falling limbs or the entire tree!). Pruning (often called "trimming") helps develop good structure in growing trees and shrubs. Pruning also allows for maintaining space between buildings, streets, other plants, utility lines etc. and removes hazardous dead or broken limbs. When pruning trees we remove crossing, co-dominant, dead, diseased, and dying limbs that can aid in the spread of diseases and become safety hazards. Pruning can be a source of stress on mature trees and shrubs when improperly done. Our Arborists make all of our cuts according to the ANSI A300 standard.

Russell Tree Experts is ready - day or night - to help with any tree-related emergency. When major storms roll in, our staff is on high alert preparing for potential weather-related tree damage. Oftentimes, trees or limbs can suddenly fall or snap during or after a storm. This is commonly due to decay or poor structure, which can be minimized by proper tree pruning and cabling. Our emergency tree services include removing uprooted or fallen trees or pruning hazardous limbs. Our crews of expert aerial and mechanical arborists are trained to professional industry standards, certified to work around electrical hazards and have extensive experience in mitigating compromised tree hazards in any situation.

Select your tree planting site. Avoid planting your sapling within 5 to 10 feet of any large obstructions such as mature trees or buildings. Measure the sapling's base of the root to its root flare to determine the depth of your hole. Ensure that your hole is of the appropriate depth. To do so, place your sapling in the hole and ensure that the root flare is equal with the surrounding soil level.

Our forestry mower can efficiently clear areas of trees and brush, leaving material in a shredded/mulched state, evenly spread over the site. We have reclaimed landscapes for cities, businesses, and private residences in this way.
