In the fall of 2019, Doorman opened their new workshop along the Mississippi River in the Algiers Point Historic District, moving from their original Riverbend workshop, where they first opened their doors in 2013. The new space on the Westbank of New Orleans has been vacant since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. For the first time in 14 years, the lights are back on. Doorman is now scheduling appointments to offer a behind-the-scenes look of the handmade process and completed pieces, which until now have only been available online.
A warm glow and signs of spring across our Amelia pedestal dining table. Made from solid planks of poplar and maple, and hand carved in to an elegant shape. Each is handmade to order from our New Orleans workshop. Shown in 60” round with antique white glaze finish. #SouthernMadeMod ern . . . . . . ....
