Jefferson Door was founded in 1959 to bring the new concept of pre-hung doors to the New Orleans market. Our business began on Cook Street in Old Gretna with only six people and 4,000 square feet of warehouse. The business grew quickly-so much so that the small warehouse was added on to four times over a span of only 10 years to a total of 27,000 square feet. In the late 1960s, as the business continued to out-grow the space available, it became necessary to split the operation into two locations by adding a warehouse in Algiers to house our exterior door assembly.
Jefferson Door is proud to offer a wide variety of both wood and moulded interior doors. Please browse the sampling of our products above or visit our suppliers' websites for an even larger selection. If you don't see exactly what you are looking for, don't worry! Both special order and custom doors are available, so we are confident that we can get you that hard-to-find door!
No matter what style entry door you're looking for, Jefferson Door can fulfill your vision. We work with many suppliers which allows for a wide range of products. We also carry metal and fiberglass exterior doors for the maintenance conscious homeowner.
Jefferson Door customers are able to choose from a full range of vinyl, aluminum, wood, and clad windows from our variety of suppliers. We also carry a line of impact windows which offers greater protection from wind-blown debris during a storm.
Jefferson Door offers free delivery to the entire greater New Orleans area, including the north shore. Free delivery to areas outside of the greater New Orleans area and Mississippi is available on a limited, case-by-case basis. Jefferson Door isn't just for contractors! We also sell our wholesale materials directly to the public through our inside sales team. If you are building a new home, renovating your existing home, or just need materials for your weekend project, come visit our showroom and sit down with a member of our sales team to go over your plans.
Jefferson Door stocks everything you need to trim out your home's staircase. While we stock only Oak and Hemlock stair parts, we have access through our suppliers to hard-to-find wood species such as Maple, Brazilian Cherry, and Mahogany as well as wrought iron stair parts.
