Welcome to Living Stone Masonry, an Asheville, NC -based company servicing Western NC and beyond! We have the skills to design, build, or repair anything your project requires. At Living Stone Masonry, we offer free design work with our projects. As stonemasons, we understand the characteristics of stone structures, and we listen to our clients' needs and wants and look for the unique design opportunities in every situation. One of our specialties is dry stone walls, patios, steps, and walkways.
Join us for this unique workshop in the North Carolina Mountains in May of 2019 as we create the bridge pictured above! We are proud to welcome John Shaw Remington from Ontario, North America's, leader in drystone bridge workshops. The 5 day option, May 2-6, will be geared more towards professionals looking to learn every aspect of drystone bridge construction-preparation, formwork, site management, coping/finisihing, as well as the main arch construction over the weekend. The 2 day option, May 4-5, is perfect for those who are curious about dry stone construction, as well as pros who are unable to attend the 5 day.
Our mission statement is 7-fold. 1. To provide the best customer service of any masonry company in the Asheville/WNC area. We realize that our business is based on customer satisfaction and recommendations, so our client's needs come first. We call back, answer emails, and give reliable estimates. 2. To respect the materials we work with. Stone is a limited resource and should be treated as such. It takes a tremendous amount of energy to quarry and transport masonry supplies, and they should not be wasted.
