Founded by Steve Kirby in 1988, Central Insulation Systems, Inc. began as a privately owned insulation company with a location on Central Parkway in Cincinnati, Ohio. As the client list expanded, so did the business, taking on larger insulation projects, and slowly merging into the field of environmental services. As the years went on the company continued to grow, until it outgrew the Central Parkway location, prompting a move to our current location in St. Bernard. Central Insulation Systems, Inc. (CIS) is staffed with experienced, fully trained and certified insulation, asbestos, lead paint, and mold abatement personnel.
Since 1988, Central Insulation Systems, Inc. has been providing a variety of insulation solutions for a broad scope of clients and projects. From residential clients in need of additional insulation to improve energy efficiency to large corporations in need of commercial wall insulation for a distribution center, the attention to the needs of our clients remains the same. We provide a broad scope of insulation applications to our residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Our insulation division is a full service insulation construction operation with special emphasis on commercial and industrial projects, as well as residential modifications.
For over 10 years we have been providing fireproofing solutions to many of our clients, including but not limited to Spray Applied Fireproofing, Hand Patching, and Intumescent Paint. We work with a variety of products and applications to find the proper fireproofing system to meet our client's needs. Central Insulation Systems, Inc. is a licensed applicator of CaFco spray-applied fire-resistive materials. High Density fireproofing products are designed for indirect weather exposure and where abrasion resistance.
One of the largest contributors to our annual workload is asbestos abatement. For hundreds of years asbestos has been used in a vast array of products and applications due to its fire and heat resistance. Those qualities made asbestos an ideal choice for production in everything from crayons to insulation. There are thousands of different products and materials used in construction alone that contain asbestos, and thousands more in other various industries. While asbestos has not been banned in the United States as it has in other countries, encapsulation and removal of asbestos and asbestos containing material (ACM) is subject to strict guidelines.
