Sterling Supplies The Parkside on Adams The Parkside project in Roslindale utilized the latest "breathable" air barrier membrane manufactured by Carlisle. Along with the more traditional insulation materials, we sell mineral wool by Roxul, including CavityRock, Curtain Rock and their Roxul Safe product. Our sprayfoam lineup includes Lapolla and Natural Polymers. We also sell products by Dow, including Styrofoam and Thermax. This product uses recycled plastic materials, rapidly renewable soy oils, and the blowing agent has zero ozone depleting potential.
Sterling Building Materials has been serving the New England construction trades since 1946 when my grandfather, John Wills Sr., purchased Sterling Fiber. This began an ongoing, three generation, building materials wholesale business. The company, which started out making black out shades during times of war, has evolved into distributing residential and commercial insulation products as well as waterproofing materials. In January of 2016, my father, John Wills Jr. passed away at the age of 87. It was through his many years of managing Sterling with integrity, determination and intelligent business acumen that has allowed me the honor of carrying on the family business.
