Longleaf Lumber is New England's antique flooring company, milling fine hardwood and softwood 3/4 flooring from historic buildings. Our flooring ranges from clean and formal to rustic and full of character, in many species in both tongue-and-groove and straight-edge profiles. We mill all our reclaimed wood flooring in Berwick, Maine. Our specialty is reclaimed Heart Pine flooring, which we carefully mill in six different grades. In addition to Heart Pine, Longleaf Lumber saws reclaimed American chestnut, red and white oak, hickory, white pine, maple, walnut, ash, and other species.
Our reclaimed oak flooring ranges in coloration, size, and character. The traditional oak flooring features knots, some nailholes, and occasional surface checking. This character, along with inherent strength and water-resistant qualities, has made reclaimed red or white oak a floor of choice for homeowners, woodworkers, and green builders time and time again. Reclaiming from industrial, residential, and agrarian sources, Longleaf Lumber goes out of its way to source antique oak timber that possesses unusual age, rustic character, and size.
These reclaimed flooring specials are a sampling of in-stock flooring that is milled and ready for shipping. For custom orders and inventory lumber not pictured, we are happy to provide estimates with pricing and lead times. Our flooring is recycled and salvaged from industrial, agricultural, and large residential buildings throughout the Eastern United States. Paneling, stair treads, mouldings, and other fine reclaimed wood products can be custom-milled to complement flooring. We invite you to visit our showroom in Cambridge, MA to talk about your current project, see installed flooring, browse current inventory, and pick up samples.
Cork has long been prized as an environmentally-friendly and utilitarian flooring option. Flooring tiles made from cork provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, absorb impact, deter water and moisture, and are hypoallergenic. Longleaf retails a full collection of finished and unfinished WE Cork flooring products in a wide range of colors and patterns, and in tile and floating floor styles, as well as cork wall paneling and cork underlayment. Cork, an alternative material to wood flooring, is a renewable and sustainable resource.
