Converting to natural gas from oil will help you save money on energy costs, reduce maintenance costs, and is cleaner for the environment. Green Audit USA will help you determine if natural gas conversion is right for you and your home and guide you through the rebate process and work.
When your home was built or when your central air conditioning or heating system was installed, the ducts were placed within the walls, attics and crawl spaces of your home. Their location may have been determined by a number of factors. Primarily for aesthetic purposes but also to make use of space that was otherwise unused. Often these are the worst locations for the duct work from an efficiency standpoint. Think, about it, the most common place for the central AC system is in an unconditioned, vented attic.
Blown-in Insulation Home efficiency improvements can include everything from the boiler in your basement to the air sealing in your attic. And those smart improvements can solve everything from moisture problems to energy waste and beyond. We look at the relationship between a building's various components to improve potential indoor air quality problems and a slew of other safety issues. The result is a home that is durable, comfortable, healthy, and energy efficient. Green Audit's experienced team can handle all aspects that affect your home's thermal envelope-from installing windows and doors to restoring siding and interior finish work.
Utility rates increase every year. You have the power to plug this leak in your bank account and take control of your utility bills. By adding a solar installation to your home you can reduce your electricity bills significantly. And, supporting clean energy! More power means more savings. SunPower's unique technology is built-to-last when conventional panels lose power with age. No other home solar technology converts more sunlight than SunPower, giving customers an incredible 70% more energy in the same space over 25 years-resulting in more savings over time.
We offer air sealing services for homes, multi-family buildings and commercial buildings throughout the region. Air sealing and weatherizing your home is typically one of the best investments a homeowner or building owner can make for energy savings, energy bill savings, and reducing environmental impact. These problems often occur even in new, code-built homes. Weatherization and air sealing aim to remediate these problems throughout the house, leading to reduced energy bills, reduced environmental impact, and improved comfort throughout the year, through improvements such as air sealing, duct sealing, insulation, and more.
Long Island is a unique and beautiful place to live, where residents can fully experience each of the four seasons. But it can also be expensive, especially in the cooler months when heating our homes is the greatest energy expense we face annually. Whether heating with oil, gas, or electric it is vital for homeowners to squeeze every ounce of value from each dollar spent. Once you've minimized the amount of heat that you need by air sealing and insulating your home, you can make improvements that will reduce the cost of your heat.
For wall or window mounted air conditioners, replacing inefficient units with Energy Star-rated models is often the easiest route to greater efficiency. For permanent wall-mounted installations, ensuring that insulation around the install location is ideal and then covering the units in winter months will often be enough. With window mounted units the process is even easier as they are often only in place during the months of normal use. While the minimum New York State Energy Code SEER rating is 13 for existing houses and 14.5 SEER for most new houses, PSEG prefers a rating of 16 or up and we agree.
Green Audit USA has done Insulation and Heating system upgrade work in my Home and i am completely satisfied with their insulation work and i would give them 5 star for that . I only feel bad as Sales guy promised me to give 95% AFUE boiler system where as they installed 94% AFUE system . they should have transparency in sell. Their owner Jay seems very cooperative to handle such issue . I hope they will resolved my issue in near future. Over all I say their qualify of work is GREAT !
After considering Solar, we realized we had to reduce our energy usage. We contacted Green Audit on recommendation from a neighbor. They came in and did an evaluation of our energy usage and detailed ways we could save. We decided to go ahead with their recommendations. Denise was extremely helpful in setting us up with an appointment and explaining what we could expect. From Jamie who explained the evaluation and what could be done to help us, to Oz, the construction manager, and Chris and his team who performed the work-everyone was awesome. They explained what they were doing every step of the way. They were neat and professional and polite. In addition, we had Honeywell come in ( after they phoned us). They are an independent company who keeps check on things to make sure the work was done as stated and met specifications quoted ( optional to have them in for that). They had glowing praise for the work that was done by Green Audit!
In case you missed it, there is a great article in the NY Times Real Estate Section about home energy audits. NY State actually contacted us looking for customers, but they wanted people in NYC, not Nassau and Suffolk our base. Anyway, it's a great article.
Hey Lindenhurst Homeowners, did you know that as a resident of Babylon Township you can qualify for a loan from the town of up to $15,000 to cover approved energy efficiency improvements like Insulation, boilers, oil to gas conversions.
I'm taking the SunPower training class next week and I have to study before I go. I love this graph. The better production from the start, just gets even better over time compared to the competition.
We had some digging out to do the other day. It's amazing what 12 guys can do with snow shovels!!! Lots of people calling in with comfort issues. Air seal + insulate = cozy home.
