Tague Lumber offers material take-offs as a service to the builder. They give us a set of blueprints and we give them an estimated list of framing lumber, exterior millwork and interior millwork they will need for the job. We can also provide window sizes and rough opening dimensions needed. This enables the customer to quote the job more accurately. Tague offers an interior trim and door walk through on builder's projects. A salesperson will meet the builder and the trimmer at the jobsite and label all openings for doors and measure all of the windows for sills.

Tague Lumber opened the Tague Design Showroom in Malvern, Pennsylvania, in 2009. With this facility, we hoped to bring to homeowners, architects, and designers the superior levels of selection and service we've provided to our contractor and builder clientele for over a century. The Design Showroom features beautiful displays of windows, doors, kitchen cabinetry, mouldings, hardware, and more. It's the place where we often host AIA and ASID seminars for architects and interior designers; programs on everything from green building to deck installation for construction professionals, and even area social events, such as the luncheon for the annual Devon Horse Show's Home Tour.

The process is a little different with custom mouldings. If a client has a sample piece, we use it to quote a price. If no sample piece is available, we go to the job site and trace the profiles with moulding gauges. Then we see if we have an existing knife to match the profile. If not, we scan the profile tracing and then retrace in AutoCAD. From there we create a computer image and have a custom knife ground (this step usually takes about a week). We run the job based on the lineal feet needed.

The Tague Lumber Custom Millwork Division offers builders, contractors, architects, designers, remodelers, and discerning homeowners the flexibility of custom millwork solutions when a suitable product cannot be sourced from a manufacturer.
