In 1959, Henry Becker founded Pittsburgh Fire Extinguisher. For nearly three decades, the company exclusively supplied fire extinguisher equipment and services to landmark institutions in the Pittsburgh region. For part of that time, our offices were located in the old Empire Building, which was demolished in 1984 to make way for the new Fifth Avenue Place. We avoided the impact of that change by relocating to the North Shore in 1979. In the late 80's, Pittsburgh Fire Extinguisher expanded operations to include emergency lighting and fire suppression.
