All Finished Design

We kept the acrylic tub but upgraded the vinyl flooring to porcelain tile. The oak vanity was dated, but structurally sound. So, we painted the vanity and upgraded the hardware. We also replaced the vanity mirror and vanity lighting. The bathroom was a little too damp and a little too dark, so we added recessed lighting and increased the size of the exhaust fan and moved it into the shower. The biggest job and the most dramatic part of this bathroom remodel was the shower. Since we removed the old surround/whirlpool tub and bulkhead, we needed to build a new structure for the shower.

Living rooms need love too! Everything is always about the kitchen and the bath. But your living room gets a lot of activity. It needs to be designed well too. Busy schedules make it difficult to spend time together as a family. You don't want your family members fleeing to their bedrooms because they're more comfortable there. This client wanted a brand new interior design living room, including the painted concrete fireplace. The fireplace in this interior design living room had a dated look and it stood out; it didn't bring the room together.

The wainscoting added lightness and brightness. I replaced the ceiling fan/light with just a ceiling fan and installed recessed lighting and sconces on dimmers to provide softer, controllable light. It was difficult finding bedding that I liked. So, I went custom. I made the duvet cover, pillows and window treatments. Good interior design bedrooms include a great headboard that makes the bed the focal point. This client had always dreamed of having a headboard. I changed the color scheme with paint and accessories.

We love solving problems with creative interior design solutions. It's a great feeling solving a problem. It's even more rewarding when it results in unique home dcor that makes your space one of a kind and gives you a conversation piece. This client's request really gave us an opportunity for unique interior design. And it has turned out to be one of our most favorite creative interior design ideas. She always wanted a headboard but anywhere she put the bed, there was a window in the way. If we went to high we completely covered the window.

After gathering information in the programming stage, I review applicable building codes and any other regulations and standards that will affect my design. Then I create a design to review with you. This is usually a multi-step process as we work back and forth making changes together until we reach a final design. In this step, I specify the materials, finishes, and furnishings, like furniture, lighting, flooring, wall covering, window treatments, artwork, etc. Depending on the project, I may also need to submit drawings for approval by your city or municipalities' building inspector.

This couple had just purchased their new home and wanted to have the kitchen remodeled. Nothing was physically wrong with it; It just wasn't their style. The biggest changes were to the cabinets and the countertops. We painted the existing oak cabinets with an antique white finish. Then we replaced the tiled countertops with dark walnut butcher block. It was all in the details with this kitchen. The undercount sink and new faucet show off the edge of the butcher block. We built a matching cutting board to protect the countertops.
