The South Shore's only custom cabinetmaker, Faneuil Kitchen Cabinet began in 1983 as a small woodworking shop owned by the Bargende family. With the help of all of our clients we have expanded far beyond our humble beginnings. We strive to create cabinetry that thoughtfully meets the individual needs and space requirements of your home while appealing to your tastes and desires, no matter how specific. We do not have a mass-production mentality. We do not offer good, better, and best lines of cabinetry.
Our cabinets are custom-built in our own shop right in Hingham, MA. The most exciting part of the kitchen project for many of our clients is when the designs are finalized and we begin to manufacture their cabinets. Clients can visit our shop and see our craftsmen building and finishing their cabinets. Before we begin to manufacture your cabinets, we check and double-check all our measurements on site, often laying out the final plan full-scale on the floor to ensure the perfect fit. Our cabinets are not manufactured as individual boxes but as long runs to minimize seams.

Our design process is highly individualized and collaborative, so that the final product meets your family's needs perfectly, whether you are aspiring gourmet chefs or avid entertainers. A remodeling or building project can be daunting. We collaborate with homeowners, architects, interior designers and builders to create the best design possible and to ensure a smooth building process. While we have our own design team, we are also happy to work with other design professionals.
We ensure that all of our kitchens are of the highest possible quality by designing, building, and installing them ourselves. All of our installers are full-time employees trained specifically to install our cabinets. They are all extremely hard-working and talented carpenters, and are in constant communication with the design team and shop. Our installers are as interested in achieving perfect customer service as our designers are, and are happy to advise clients on the best positioning for cabinet hardware, or take the order for an extra cutlery divider you just did not think you needed until the kitchen was installed.
