At Danziger Homes, we love what we do. My love for homebuilding began in the 1960's, framing houses for my family's building business in Stamford, CT. Ten years as a professional civil engineer grew my commitment to intelligent design, state-of-the-art technology, and responsible quality construction. Founding DHI in 1984 brought my family's homebuilding tradition to northern Fairfield County. Since then, we've built over 200 custom homes on individual sites and in luxury subdivisions, and a variety of commercial and renovation projects.
Super-insulation is a standard feature in our homes, saving energy and money for our customers. Since 2005, each of our homes has earned the ENERGY STAR rating for energy efficiency. Our homes also exceed the new, and more stringent, U.S. Department of Energy "Builders Challenge" standards for fuel efficiency. See article on DHI's super-insulation in The Danbury News-Times. In addition to high efficiency oil and gas heating systems, DHI has been installing geothermal heating systems since 1999. See information on geothermal heating.
Our light commercial construction projects have included medical offices, and a house of worship with school classrooms. Meeting client needs and commercial and public building standards is a challenge we enjoy. At Danziger Homes, quality homebuilding has been a family tradition for four decades. Customers choose us for our award-winning designs, luxurious details, and practical features for everyday living, but also for the latest in energy efficient technology and green homebuilding. At DHI, these are not luxuries - they're just the way we build.
Building a new home can take several months and involves many decisions, but DHI's staff will help you every step of the way. Our staff will help you select cabinetry, fixtures, flooring, appliances, and all the other interior and exterior features that make your home unique. Don't be surprised if we suggest designing a driveway to preserve a beautiful tree, or a window to capture a beautiful view. We may ask where you'll place artwork, to plan appropriate lighting. It's how we build to fit your lifestyle and your home's natural setting.
