Zapotec Energy seeks to help the people of New England harness the indigenous energy sources that contribute to a sustainable way of life and a brighter future for all. We offer many services related to commercial-scale solar energy. Zapotec Energy has been contributing to the push for renewable energy adoption for over two decades. Take a look at our project portfolio to see what we can do for you.

For thousands of years, the indigenous Zapotec people of Oaxaca, Mexico, lived a sustainable way of life, developing a culture and lifestyle based on the region's ideal mix of land, water and sunlight. Today, we bring the Zapotec spirit to Greater Boston and New England, discovering ways to harness indigenous energy sources that contribute to a sustainable way of life for our region. Zapotec's name is based on Lyons' work as a solar contractor in the mid 1990s in Oaxaca, Mexico, where he observed Zapotec people whose forbearers had settled in the region because of the ideal mix of sunshine, water, climate and soil that enabled them to develop a lifestyle that was sustainable.

We seek an electrical engineer licensed in Massachusetts to focus on solar design work. In this position, you will coordinate directly with clients and create construction plan sets for rooftop and ground mounted solar PV systems. This position provides comprehensive training and experience in solar design principles and the opportunity to work on the forefront of a vital, growing industry.
