Founded in 1959 by Gene Hickey, HTG Architects began as an architecture firm specializing in financial institution projects. Now, we're known throughout the industry for recreational projects, retail projects, commercial projects, office buildings and industrial buildings. But there are two types of projects that have become our primary niche: financial institutions (banks and credit unions) and recreational buildings (especially ice arenas). We're very confident in our ability to meld each client's vision with our expertise to design and create a facility that works best for them.
At HTG Architects, we lead with service. We believe in providing great service to everybody. Whether they're a lender at a bank, a president of a company, a secretary managing the front desk or an operations person, serve everybody you interact with. We believe leading with service helps us develop good, long-lasting relationships. Our commitment to service is strengthened and supported by the remaining core values: we listen, we learn, we energize, we invest. Through it all, we remain focused on solutions that make a difference for our clients.
After InVision is completed, the project's scope is defined and the client is ready to proceed, we move into Architecture and Engineering. During this phase, we provide our clients with a detailed Architecture and Engineering Proposal that's based on the approved Scope of the Project. HTG provides Architecture, Interior Design and Landscape Design for our clients. We can also provide Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Along with the standard Architecture and Engineering services, HTG also provides Project Management and Vendor Coordination.
Renovating and remodeling existing buildings is a vital segment of our Architecture and Engineering Services. Remodels can happen for many reasons, whether you're looking to make your existing space more efficient, find a purpose for currently unused space, modernize an outdated space, attract new customers or meet updated code requirements. We approach each remodeling project intent on listening to and serving our client. Our remodeling services go far beyond changing the colors and redoing the carpeting or tile.
Our architectural consulting process, InVision, is multi-faceted. The InVision process is our way of coming together with our clients to uncover, organize and prioritize the many components of your organization. It's nearly 60 years in the making, and we continue to hone our approach over time. While it originated as a way to better serve our financial clients, InVision has grown to be a vital phase in our work with clients from all areas of industry. InVision embodies the collective experience of HTG Architects, draws upon the inherent knowledge our clients hold and guides our design teams to provide solutions that make a difference.
At HTG Architects, we provide architectural services customized to your industry, and we go beyond architecture and design for our clients. We incorporate numerous areas into our project coordination, all with the goal of reducing any stress and pressure on our clients and creating a structure that works best for them. Whether clients work with us on New Construction, Remodeling or Tenant Improvement projects, we will meld your vision to our expertise to execute the best project for you. New construction projects require in-depth planning, design and coordination.
Every member of the HTG team does their part to uphold our core values and serve our clients' needs. Our people are architects and artists, family members and community members. Their commitment to our clients, lifelong learning and the daily work that makes everything at HTG Architects possible cannot be overstated. Our team members serve our clients, contractors and vendors, and they also serve each other. They do so by taking the time to listen to and learn from each other. With positive attitudes and passionate minds, we energize each other and invest in HTG Architects as a whole.
Improving a space based on the needs of the tenant is an architectural service we're proud to offer. When you occupy a tenant space, there will be some things you can change and some you cannot, depending on the landlord's requirements. We work with our clients to design their space that enables their business to run more efficiently while staying within the parameters of their landlord's agreement. Tenant improvements come in many sizes and focuses on adapting a space to fit larger themes like branding needs of a new tenant or a brand-new strategy for how a tenant can use a space.
For new construction projects, our clients rely on us to provide complete Architecture and Engineering services, and we do just that. Depending on when we start (sooner is always better) we will work with our clients on each and every detail, including site selection, real estate and purchasing agreement support, site survey, soil borings and city processes, to name a few. We have completed thousands of new construction projects in our history within the financial, recreational and commercial industries.
