Garbage disposals are a great addition to any kitchen. If they work. Like any other kitchen appliances, garbage disposals can break down and need a repair. If your kitchen has a garbage disposal, and your sink is starting to back up with dirty water and food remnants, you might have a big problem. If you're the kind of homeowner who likes to roll up your sleeves and dig deep to fix an issue yourself, think twice on this one. Garbage disposals can be tricky and dangerous devices to troubleshoot. Without the proper safety precautions, you might end up further damaging the disposal, or even harming yourself.

Are you protected from power outages? When the power goes down, automatic standby generators keep your lights on so you can have peace of mind no matter what the weather is like outside. Unlike a bulky portable generator, automatic units are located outside your home and are ready to start the second an electrical outage occurs. And, fortunately for Bucks County homeowners, a generator installation is only a call away, courtesy of the McHale's electrical team! Automatic standby generators provide safety and peace of mind by returning power to your home within seconds of a power outage.

As the weather gets colder, you rely on your furnace more and more. Reliable and consistent heat is necessary for the comfort and safety of your family. If you notice that it hasn't been working as well as it used to, it's likely that you need repair work done. As your furnace ages, the wear and tear from the years of use can cause damage to occur. Small issues can grow over time, causing your furnace to work less efficiently. You should schedule routine maintenance to keep your home heating system running smoothly - at least twice a year.

Trenchless sewer repair is a highly practical, non-invasive pipeline repair technique that offers property owners a relatively fast and simple alternative to the conventional excavation technique, which is often messy, inconvenient and expensive. Not only is it far less costly; it also saves damage to landscaping, streets, and driveways. In most cases, tree roots, settling soil, rodent nests, or blockages cause sewer problems. Basically, the entire process involves inserting a new pipe into the existing, damaged one.

Heat pumps are one of the most cost-effective ways to heat and cool your Newtown and Bucks County home, but sometimes you need heat pump repair and replacement. Think of it like this: by definition, heat pumps move heat, the don't radiate it. Because they aren't generating the heat themselves, you are saving money. They also work in any season. During the winter, a heat pump extracts outside heat and transfers it inside. In the summer, it works in reverse, taking warm air from your home and transferring it outside.

A flooded basement isn't a problem you can simply ignore, and it's a homeowner's worst nightmare. Basement flooding is a huge issue in the wetter months: heavy rains and melting snow can easily creep into your basement and cause major damage if your home is not adequately protected. Water damage is no joke. Without a sump pump, you risk the safety of the items and appliances stored in your basement. You're also risking damage to the structural integrity of your home. While some of these factors are difficult to notice before a disaster strikes, installing a sump pump can help prevent a major flooding problem when the water comes.

Looking for a convenient, cost-effective way to heat and cool your Newtown or Bucks County home? Well, then, it's time to consider ductless mini split systems. Mini split systems work just like a regular air source heat pump would. They transfer heat from the outdoor air and pull it inside for heating, and absorb indoor heat and push it outside for cooling. While ductless mini split systems are used as supplemental heating - meaning you will still need a furnace/air conditioner for those really cold and really hot days - it still serves as a way for you to save money all year round.

Problems in your pipes can be a challenge to diagnose. You may find yourself treating a symptom of a problem, while the true issue lurks deep within your plumbing. The old method of troubleshooting a damaged or clogged pipe was to get to the pipe by any means possible: excavation, knocking down walls, and digging through your basement to fight the issue at its source. This process was expensive and time-consuming, not to mention damaging to your home and yard. Luckily for homeowners, the latest in advances in plumbing technology has given us video pipe inspections.

Bathroom renovated. Everything went very smoothly. Any calls to the office were returned immediately (or within reasonable time) I am very pleased with the work done and all the technicians I dealt with.

Carl Young was very professional and listened to my concerns and offered me several options to discuss with my husband. I even had the estimates sent to my email so I could go over everything when my husband came home from work! Super nice and easy to talk to and I really appreciated that Carl explained everything in easy to understand terms.

Matt came out to repair my faucet in the bathroom sink. I was informed of my options which I never knew I had in the repair process.
In short, I will be replacing my old faucet and he rescheduled me.
I feel informed and supported by a positive professional organization serving the peoples problems in our community. Thank you Matt McCallahan and I will see you on our scheduled date for my new faucets. Thank you!!

Over the last two weeks, my hot water heater died and my house heater stopped working. McHales came out immediately to isolate and drain the water heater and returned the next day to replace it. They came out to fix the heater also and fixed it a few days later after getting the needed parts.
Overall, there were four technicians here. All were very polite, worked in a very neat and clean manner and thorough in their explanations and choices. McHales sent me text messages and emails with photos of the technicians coming before the appt so I knew who to expect.
I highly recommend McHales!

Carl is a great technician. He truly took the time to make sure I understood all of my options and gave very good alternatives that would work for me and my home. Was respectful and kind and really helped me understand my home and my future options.

I’m very satisfied with the McHales even though their were a couple of bumps in the road getting my bathroom done. Team leader of this project John Billemeyer figured out the hiccups and worked very hard, with assistance from the very courteous Anthony Bolli. The finishing touches done by Jose Contres were Exceptional.Jose worked eight hours a couple of days without taking a break to get my bathroom finished to my expectations. The project took a little longer then I expected, but I’m very pleased!

What's new?
