At Oakridge, we pride ourselves on delivering quality construction services in a cost effective manner. By delivering on what we promise - competitive pricing, quick delivery and a facility built to the highest level of quality - Oakridge has been selected as the contractor-of-choice by several repeat clients. From general construction to Design-Build and construction management, Oakridge brings expertise and know-how to every project. As a division of Flintco, LLC, we benefit from the resources of a $1 billion national construction company while still offering our clients the personalized service of a small company.
At Oakridge, we believe in managing projects with an open-book philosophy and an emphasis on partnership. We take pride in providing the best estimates, project oversight, regular status updates and the finest safety program in the industry. We are your partner in construction every step of the way - from the time of selection to working with architects, providing cost-saving alternates through the project closet-out and commissioning phases. But most importantly, we believe in saying what we'll do and doing what we say.
The Design-Build delivery system is structured to put clients in the driver's seat. With Oakridge Builders working in tandem with the architect from the outset of a project, we are able to efficiently design and build your facility within a smaller timeframe than traditional construction methods. Our clients receive a guaranteed maximum price so they know exactly what they are going to get and what it's going to cost. Since construction runs concurrently with the design process, as drawings are developed, Oakridge Builders works with the owner and designers to define the function, budget and schedule.
On time and in budget - that's the Oakridge Builders way. With construction management (CM), contractors are selected based on qualifications and past experience. Every facility has unique needs - a hospital's requirements are different from a school's, and the approach to constructing a community center is different than building an airline hangar. The CM method of selecting a contractor is your insurance policy that you're getting the right team for your project. Our CM services allow clients to retain control of the project while placing day-to-day construction decisions and dealings with subcontractors in the experienced hands of Oakridge Builders' team.
General Contracting, also referred to as Design-Bid-Build, has been the backbone of Oakridge Builder's business model since opening our doors in the 1980s. Using this traditional approach to construction - where one phase is completed before another phase begins - we have delivered high quality facilities to happy customers time after time, creating a loyal base of repeat clients. Having constructed hundreds of projects in the region, Oakridge Builders also provides clients with the intrinsic knowledge of knowing the right subcontractors for each project, area conditions and permitting requirements.
Understanding the total cost of a project before it's built is information you can take to the bank. Oakridge Builders has the support of an extensive database of historical costs analysis used to generate early estimates, allowing owners to make key decisions about their facilities. Since no project or client is alike, we customize our processes to meet the unique requirements of each project. As designs progress, the estimates become more refined and closer to a final dollar amount, so on bid day, there are no surprises.
Never sacrifice quality. Oakridge has proven time again, that strong control over cost and time does not require sacrificing quality. The level of quality delivered on all Oakridge projects has been honored throughout the industry with hundreds of awards for construction excellence from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) and Associated General Contractors (AGC) for its workmanship. Additionally, Oakridge has received the Platinum level STEP award for safety in construction from ABC for its superior safety program.
Our company's roots date back to the booming oil days of the early 1900s when Tulsa Rig, Reel & Manufacturing (TRR) began supplying wooden oil derricks. The company evolved and entered into construction, forming the foundation of Flintco, LLC - a $1 billion national firm with six regional offices. In the 1970s, Flintco formed Oakridge in Tulsa as an open shop company to address the areas' growing need in the home building market. In the 1980s, Oakridge began to focus exclusively on the commercial sector, specializing in general contracting, building our resume on hospitals and higher education facilities.
