When using the General Construction method to build your building, the owner selects an architect/engineer to describe the project using drawings, specification and bid documents. General Construction is the traditional method of construction and may prove to be the most appropriate construction solution for some of our clients. It is the right choice when it's necessary to bid and then build a project based upon completed plans and specifications. While this method leaves little room for correction of design or programmatic errors, it is our mission to provide quality construction, assure on-time completion and to make the construction process easy for our clients all at a competitive cost and real value.

With a three to four month schedule to complete most school work each year, we rely on our proven systems to counteract obstacles that slow down construction projects. Also, by being part of the Building Team at the onset with the Owner and Architect, we're able to start planning early to be ready as soon as we can gain access to the school. Furthermore, we appreciate our part of the "three-legged" team with the District and the Architect and will continue to be unified and proactive throughout the duration of each project.

Our Construction Management method is unique because your team is created at the onset of the building concept. The owner's most important task is selecting their team members, which will include, construction manager, architect/engineer and owner representative. Once selected, the architect is responsible for defining the building design through drawings and specifications. The construction manager provides the critical elements of cost, time and quality control. The owner, thoroughly informed by these professionals, is then able to make educated decisions about their project.

Today, there are several unique and distinctive methods of providing construction solutions. A business owner has the luxury of selecting the most beneficial and appropriate delivery system for the specific circumstances of the project itself from a variety of procurement methods. Our method of turnkey construction provides value-added services that make the difference for our clients. Wolgast is fully staffed to coordinate all design, engineering and construction services from building concept, to completion of a project.

Over the past 70 years, we have learned a great deal about construction. One of the most important lessons learned is that no two clients, and more specifically, no two projects are the same. Each has specific needs that must be understood and addressed in order to assure a successful project. This realization led to the birth of the Wolgast Design Group entity. While Wolgast Design Group contains the architectural leg of our construction services, it is truly much more than that. Wolgast Design Group offers a comprehensive array of services all tailored to better satisfy each of our clients' unique construction related needs.

Design/Build is a construction delivery method in which one entity - the design/builder - forges a single contract with the owner to provide architectural/engineering design services and construction services. Design/Build is also known as single-source responsibility. In an ever-changing commercial construction environment, general contractors & architects are increasingly compelled to work closely together to save time and money. Old ways of doing things simply are not good enough in today's marketplace.
