Cleckley & Smith, Inc. is a Williamsburg based custom home builder serving the lower and upper Virginia Peninsula and surrounding areas. Our company was founded in 1987 and is the shared vision of Scott Cleckley and Brett Smith who work personally with each and every client throughout the entire building process. We specialize in the design and construction of truly unique and highly detailed custom homes which reflect exacting standards and an unparalleled attention to detail. We are currently part of the "Select" builder group in the Kingsmill and Governor's Land communities, and have also completed projects in Holly Hills, The Vineyards, Fords Colony, Port Anne, Shallow Marsh, Bunting Point, Farmington and numerous other "one-of-a-kind" locations.
Although we have built many homes designed by architects and other designers, we are primarily a design/build residential construction company, which means we typically design "in-house" the vast majority of homes we build. The design of your home will evolve from a series of meetings where information is exchanged, ideas are vetted and a great deal of effort is focused on understanding your unique requirements. As a design/build firm, we are able to provide real-time feedback to our clients on how the design evolution may or may not affect budget constraints.
