Truly unique to Mericle's vertically-integrated structure is our in-house Excavation team, consisting of heavy-equipment operators, drivers, laborers, technicians, mechanics, foremen, superintendents, and project managers. Our Excavation team prepares sites for construction faster and more economically than all other commercial developers in the markets in which we conduct business. Excavation's work allows us to show you ReadyToGo! Sites that have already been planned, permitted, subdivided, cleared, graded, and prepared for the immediate construction of your building's foundation.

Mericle's Design/Build Services department consists of in-house architects, project managers, and designers with experience in interior space planning and building systems and specifications. Mericle will introduce you to your project manager, who will coordinate your entire project, from the preliminary design phase through permitting, construction, and occupancy. Your project manager will ensure that your project is delivered on schedule as designed and will provide the support needed to accommodate your specific requirements and incorporate changes in your scope of work.

Robert Mericlewas introduced to theWilkes-Barre Family YMCAwhen he joined the swim team at just five years old. He spent a good deal of his childhood at the YMCA. As he grew, he came to fully understand the value of its role in keeping kids off the streets and developing their character by providing a safe environment for a wide range of activities. In 1998, the YMCA began a $5.5 million capital improvement campaign to fund a lobby expansion, racquetball court, family locker room, shower room, gym, and a new, six-lane, 25-yard swimming pool.

Rob Mericlecreated the Lend A Hand Program as a way to donate the company's manpower and equipment to help NEPA communities. Mr. Mericleand community leaders select projects in Luzerne and Lackawanna Counties such as revitalizing community parks and athletic fields. Mr. Mericle spearheads each project and donates all of the resources needed, including planning, in-house labor, subcontracted labor, specialty services, and materials and equipment. Our employees and their families volunteer by painting, landscaping, mulching, and cleaning.

Among other things, it means we can virtually guarantee that we'll deliver your space on time and on budget. In fact, since our founding by Rob Mericle in 1985, we have never missed a client's occupancy deadline. By self-performing most aspects of development and construction, using our own in-house personnel, we are better able to control costs and fast-track delivery schedules to meet your needs. We are a throwback to the "master builder" of old, when experienced craftsmen self-performed all aspects of the construction process.
