Emerald Lawns

With a love for nature and a desire to create a place to gather with loved ones, we knew we wanted our career to line up with our passion. So we tried working at one of those big lawn care companies for several years. A place where other nature-lovers and hard workers could help make gorgeous spaces to gather. So, in 2006, Mary and I took the leap and started Emerald Lawns from the spare bedroom in our home. From day one, we've treated our team like family and each lawn like our own. Because we live here, too.

Fleas and ticks can ruin outdoor fun. Not only are they a nuisance for you and your pets, but fleas can transfer tapeworms and many ticks carry disease. Our 90-day flea and tick control will protect those you love with an effective and guaranteed solution.

We now maintain sprinkler and lawn irrigation systems to finetune the timing, coverage and volume which help conserve water and improve the health of your outdoor space. Most irrigation systems, including all sprinklers installed before 2007, use a cheaper spray nozzle with a goal to "water quickly". This creates a number of problems for your lawn and your water bill. In an effort to conserve water for the next generation(s), many local municipalities are offering Irrigation System Upgrade Rebates.

Liquid Aeration is a state-of-the-art application that creates tiny, deep pathways, delivering oxygen, moisture and nutrients to the roots. Without these "tunnels", the root system has no way of accessing what it needs most to thrive. A core aeration is a type of lawn aeration in which a machine removes plugs of soil and thatch from a lawn.

Your trees & shrubs are a large investment and these treatments help to control and prevent damage. Whenever possible, we will use systemic pesticides that are actually absorbed by the plant itself. They work their way through the plant's tissues, killing disease and insects as they do. They're much better for your overall landscape and the environment. We treat all perennial plants (in-ground), trees and shrubs that are less than 25′ in height and/or less than 10-12″ wide at the trunk*.
