Go ahead, look it up. We opened our flooring store in 1979. Here's a neat little trick to tell how experienced a flooring company is - look at their contractor's license number. The smaller the number, the longer they've been in business. Our team of flooring craftsmen considers attention-to-detail a top priority. And you'll be able to tell the time and quality of our work when looking at the way your new hardwood floors flow seamlessly at the borders or the mimicry of the custom-cut luxury vinyl tile planks installed in your brand new kitchen.

Slaughterbeck Floors, Inc., is a family owned and operated business. We have provided quality flooring as well as personalized service in the Santa Clara valley for over 30 years. Our clients now extend from Gilroy to Atherton. In addition to installing floors and carpeting, we also offer hardwood floor refinishing services to make your floors look like new. Our large showroom at 730 Camden Ave (Camden @ Winchester, see map) has a complete selection of floor coverings-including hardwood floors, exotic woods, carpeting, cork, luxury vinyl tile, vinyl, linoleum, leather, and green flooring.

We specialize in hardwood flooring but also carry and install a wide variety of other flooring products at our store. Learn more about the products we carry or come visit us in Campbell to see them in person!

Epoxy floors are great for being applied to concrete floors. They are a great choice for commercial applications. Some of the best applications for epoxy floors can involve projects like a garage, a basement, a commercial kitchen, commercial bathrooms, industrial locations (warehouses for example), and commercial spaces (restaurants, office locations, etc.). Anything with a concrete floor could benefit greatly from our epoxy floor options. Any floors that are slippery or could be prone to slips and falls are great candidates for epoxy floors.

With luxury vinyl flooring, we can work with your vision, complement your furnishings, or expand and improve the mood of your home. You may think that our team of flooring artisans are magicians once you see how realistic luxury vinyl flooring looks in your home. With a herringbone wood plank effect, luxury vinyl planks can visually widen a room or lengthen a hallway. The entrance of our Campbell showroom shows a custom-cut and glued luxury vinyl planks in a unique, striking herringbone pattern.

Decorative inlay designs blend domestic and exotic hardwoods, natural stones, metals and other mixed materials. Natural hardwood inlay medallions, borders and feature strips unite multiple species to create a striking focal point in your home. Stone and wood/stone combination designs are also available. As with wood inlays, natural stones, marbles, granites, and travertines are used in the designs. The physical aspects of these materials coupled with accents of glass and nonferrous metals in several products, add phenomenal texture, richness and uniqueness to each inlay.

We completely remodeled the floors in our Campbell showroom, and we wanted to share this story with you through the images below. Our flooring artisans enjoy displaying their passion for creative and intricate projects and we wanted our new showroom floors to reflect that. The new showroom features everything from wood flooring strips, customized wood designs (like our medallion starburst pattern), different examples of wood grains, different wood patterns (like Herringbone), and so much more! We enjoy bringing flooring visions into reality, and you can see that through the following images.

Vinyl flooring offers several advantages, including a wide variety of colors, textures, patterns and styles. Vinyl flooring is perfect for areas of high traffic and high spills such as kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms. Cost varies widely depending on the material. Rotogravure Printed: The design is printed onto the vinyl to produce an endless variety of colors and patterns. The printed flooring is then covered with a wear layer to enhance visual, maintenance, and performance characteristics.

Before you hire a contractor or handyman make sure that they are properly licensed and fully insured. California requires that anyone who performs any work on your property that will cost more than $500 in labor and/or material must hold a valid contractors license for any work that would fall into the classifications set by the Contractor State License Board (CSLB). This, and valid insurance held by the contractor is for your benefit. If the contractor has employees make sure they have Workers Comp.

This is a long overdue review for such a great work done by Jim and Mike. I placed an order for Masland carpet and the price was very reasonable as I did my homework comparing with many until I found Slaughterbeck. But what stop me here, not only the price, but the professional, the care, and ease of communication with Jim, his staff. The afterwork was simply amazing - it is needless to say about the great quality of the product. But I want to emphasize the work Mike did. The installation was quick and thorough - there was a hiccup on a broken ceiling light but they were candid about it and communicate and compensate the cost. Anyone who did a remodeling knows that accidents happen but it is who you work with that make sure a smooth transition of overcoming the problem. Last, it was my turn of forgetting to put the audio line down the carpet for my speakers, and it was very painful to do it myself without the tools to protect yourself from needles holding down the carpet. Mike came back immediately and reinstall the carpet with the audio wire tuck under the carpet. Slaughterbeck definitely win the 5 starts if not more from the beginning to the end of project.

Slaughterbeck Floors is a longtime local business with an excellent reputation. We have used them twice in the last three years for replacing both hardwood flooring, replacing resilient flooring, and refinishing hardwood flooring at two different properties due to water damage from a leaking kitchen appliance. I cannot recommend the highly enough. Our first experience was three years ago at a rental property we own and we selected them not only because of their reputation, but the fact they could replace the resilient flooring in the kitchen plus replace/refinish the hardwood flooring in the remainder of the house due to the water damage. As our tenants had to move out during the repair, time was of the essence. The replacement and refinish went perfectly and our tenants moved back in on schedule.

We just recently hired Slaughterbeck again to refinish the floor in the kitchen of our home after damage from a leaking dishwasher. The floor needed to be sanded down to bare wood, re-stained, and re-coated. It was an expensive refinish due to the fact that the majority of the floor had to be sanded with a palm sander to get under the toe kicks of the cabinets; only a very small amount could be sanded with the large floor sander. The crew was awesome and they went above and beyond to help us choose the proper color of stain to match the existing floor as well as replace a badly deteriorated exterior door sill that was not in the original scope of work. Our kitchen floors now look better than the day they were installed. We discovered a couple of very minor issues after the crew finished and Sherry, our project manager, handled them expediently and to our satisfaction. If getting the project done right is more important than getting it done for the lowest price, Slaughterbeck is an excellent choice in flooring contractors.

Our experience with Slaughterbeck was exceptional! Slaughterbeck replaced our 20 year old Marmoleum floor in our kitchen. Sheri, the estimator, was spot on in the cost and materials needed with very little excess remaining which saved us a few dollars. Michael and Mason were master crafters! They were fast, efficient and detailed. Their recommendations to slightly adjust pattern and modified metal floors strips enhanced the final outcome.
They were super considerate of our house! They gently removed the appliances and returned all of the base boards and cabinets moldings n their previous condition.

We have been using Slaughterbeck Floors for double-digit years, and they are just finishing a complicated installation for us. Once again, their work and their workers are flawless, and Joan Slaughterbeck is a delight to work with, as a professional and as a person. We do not hesitate to leave their workers alone in our home. We recommend this business without reservation.

Our contractor hired Slaughterbeck Floors for our renovation project and we found their installation crew to be efficient and talented. The job included an area in front of the fireplace where the hardwood floors had to be woven to match the surrounding floor and the weave is beautiful. The only reason for the four stars rather than five is because of some small water discoloration in front of the refrigerator and dishwasher, which our contractor claimed was previous damage and couldn't have been corrected. Unfortunately, I didn't notice it until the floors were completely finished, but would have expected the Slaughterbeck installers to point out to me early and to discuss alternatives. Otherwise, the job is beautiful and we'd highly recommend Slaughterbeck Floors.
