In 1945 E.L. Schneider, our grandfather, and C.B. Hayes started Home Furniture in Lawrenceburg, IN. The company quickly expanded across the street and renovated the George H. Bishop Saw Mill at 20 East Center Street to become our flooring center. In the 1950's Charles Brandel Sr., our father, joined the company. In the following years, Charles, along with Bud Ruble, took over after the retirement of Schneider and Hayes. Due to rapid growth in 1969, construction was started for a new showroom on Highway 50.
